This is an amazing reveal and further solidifies Nixon as the worst President we've ever had...
Declassified LBJ tapes show that Nixon personally sabotaged peace talks with Vietnam in 1968 in order to win the 1968 Election

If Johnson hadn't had Kennedy killed, he would have won the war with the sheer power of his will.

The only politician who wouldn't have done that would be one you've never heard of, b/c he never got elected...

That isn't breaking news. That has been known for some time. It was discussed in-depth in The President's Club.

You can download mp3's of the LBJ tapes. They are an interesting way to learn what was really going on at the time, and a marvelous look at how power works. There is a website that has catalogued the tapes and allows you to download them for free. I think UVA did it. If you are a big history buff, they're great for a long car ride when you're alone. When I was driving from SC to NC all of the time, I would do it.

Speaking of presidents who presided over military disasters, we're almost to the ten year anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. Memories...
Toppling Saddam was supposed to unleash a wave of democracy across the whole middle east. It didn't turn out that way, did it?

You'd think we would at least get an anniversary card or gift basket from Iran. Something.
"We thank you infidel dogs for taking down our mortal enemy and handing it to us on a platter" - some kind of Hallmark sentiment like that.

SEC coaches, whining like bitches, insisting in spite of the facts that their league is as good as anyone else

That's funny.
The SEC saves room for one credible basketball program at a time. That's usually Kentucky, which is the only reason they are still in the league. (Well, that and giving SEC teams a functional bye week during football season.) In addition to UK, Florida and Arkansas make occasional cameo appearances as the designated credible SEC bball program.
Having three SEC teams in the NCAAT this year is probably one or two more than we deserve.

Pardon prof for not mounting a defense - sad truth is Awbarn deemphasized roundball post-Barkley.
I'll admit the SEC didn't deserve 6 bids, but they certainly deserved more than 3. LaSalle and St. Louis aren't tournament-worthy. MTSU only had ONE win vs the top 100 and they got an at-large bid...pfft.
Ah well. Clearly the SEC dominates the sports not brokered by a backroom committee.
