I feel for Toe. For him, having a black president is against his "America". Sorta sad.

Better to be a hypocrite than an idiot. I know you don't understand what I'm saying, but just trust me on this. In fact, you're the reason I'm saying it...

A record 5.4 million workers and their dependents have signed up to collect federal disability checks since President Obama took office, according to the latest official government data, as discouraged workers increasingly give up looking for jobs and take advantage of the federal program.

Is your car private property or not?
My property is my property, and that includes my car.
Your stuff, otoh - I own it, and I own you. Here. Daily.
Great so you finally agree the car is private property. Then surely you can see how you don't have control over someone elses private property. Otherwise they could arrest the parking lot owner if they bust someone with illegal substances in their car (since your contention seems to be that the parking lot owner has control over the car then that would mean they would be subject to arrest for things in that car, which they are not).
They are not, because as I said before it has long been held that the contents of the car are controled by the owner of the car, you know since the car is private property.
That's the reason you will see cars in the parking lot seemingly hooked up to IV poles. You see the hospital can ban smoking on their property, BUT when they are in their car they are in THEIR private property and the hospital can't stop them. They go out to their car and smoke in their private property even though smoking isn't allowed on hospital property and their car is sitting on it, because when they are in their car they are in their private property and can smoke regardless of the rules of the hospital (land owner). It has been this way for several years, as the legal eagles explained to the hospital, they can't tell them what to do in their car since the car is private property.
So the guns in trunks bill just really reiterated that precident, as I said before.
And it is you that was just owned.

Reality check: The Dow Jones Industrial Average vs. Bananas
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, one of the key benchmarks of the US stock market, has soundly surpassed its all-time high. And most of the investing world is toasting their collective success and celebrating the recovery.
It's a funny thing, really. Most investors only think in terms of 'nominal' numbers, i.e. Dow 14,000+ is 40% higher than Dow 10,000 (back in November 2009). But few think in terms of 'real' numbers... inflation-adjusted averages.
Everyone knows that inflation exists. We can all look back on prices from the past and realize instantly how much more expensive things have become. Conversely, though, most people don't think about the stock market like this.
The reality is, though, that when you adjust for inflation, the Dow is well below its highs from over a decade ago.
I thought I'd put this into a bit of perspective.
... let's look at fruit. Based on the wholesale price of bananas, the Dow currently buys you a whopping 15.35 tons of the tropical fruit.
But this is exactly the same amount of bananas the Dow would buy back in February 2008, when the Dow was just 12,266. And it's a massive 60% drop from June 1999 when the Dow bought 38.51 tons of bananas.
Gasoline is an even more interesting example. Today, the Dow will buy roughly 3,812 gallons of unleaded, non-premium gasoline in the United States. This is almost exactly the same as last January, just fifteen months ago, when the Dow was only 12,633.
But to match its high of 10,718 gallons set in March 1999, the Dow would need to almost triple from where it's at today.

Economists say they don't expect much improvement for the middle class any time soon. The recession is officially over, but the recovery is fragile, and its gains aren't evenly spread. Between 1993 and 2011, the top 1% of America's earners saw their income soar by 58%, while everyone else only got a 6% bump.
Looks like wimmen, yoots, minorities and coloreds are f'd the same as before....heartless/greedy dems run things just like their repub brethren.

Interesting idea but bananas and gasoline do not equate with the rate of inflation. There are commodities that have
dropped in price over the last five years as well.
Take natural gas for example. From it's high in 2008 of over $10/mcf, the price dropped dramatically to almost $2/mcf, then has recovered to a little less than $3.50/mcf these past six months. The stock market today can buy significantly more natural gas than it could in late 2007-early 2008. What does that really tell us, if anything?
Since 2009 the stock market has well outpaced the national rate of inflation even if you can find examples of certain products or goods that are rising faster than the market.
