I call bullshit. No way the guys calling the WSOP would use an obscure NBA draft bust like that. There's a trillion poker references they could have used and a million better know non poker references like Ryan leaf. Post the video or your full of shit. I'll give you my tag line for a month if you're not lying.
14:03 mark. Eat my ass, Auggie, you mewling little cunt...

Funny thing is, Cousins isn't doing too poorly. He also just got a max contract, so what constitutes as "poorly" (as far as his play) changes dramatically this year.

He's my favorite NBA player right now. He's just a big kid.

"Funny thing is, Cousins isn't doing too poorly"

I don't keep up with it that closely, but that was my impression as well based on random glances at his stats over the past few years. Of course, I didn't paraphrase exactly what that announcer said. I wrote that he said "he left alot on the table" but what he really said was "misses a little value". Auggie will probably use that to weasel out of his claim, even though the entire point of his post was that the announcer would've never used Cousins as a reference, which he obviously did...

I just couldn't believe a poker announcer would use such an obscure and incorrect basketball reference so I figured you were making some lame attempt to insult Kentucky. The fact that you took the time to find it makes me laugh.

I was with you until "The fact that you took the time to find it makes me laugh."

Soviet judge scored that as a Don Sutton reversal.

Took the time to find it? I checked the time stamp on my original post (since I posted as I was watching it, as I indicated in my post) then googled the TV schedule for WSOP and then youtube'd the episode. It took about 45 seconds. You, OTOH, need to change your tagline, unless you plan to welch, which would definitely be something that would make me laugh...

"I just couldn't believe a poker announcer would use such an obscure and incorrect basketball reference"

First of all, anybody who follows sports even slightly knows who Cousins is, so it's not obscure, so you were incorrect. And if you're now saying it was an incorrect reference by the announcer, you're changing your tune, b/c in your original post you referred to Cousins as a draft bust, which was also incorrect and now further compounded by your flip-flopping the likes of which I haven't seen since any number of Mecca Reversals by the very namesake of the ploy.

In short, why did you lie?

I had scored hedge as tying Augie, but he's went to the well too much with that last post and is penalized a point.

Augie is still in a lead.

It was just a setup for "why did you lie", but you're right, it was an over-reach. Still, how can me smearing Auggie's face with shit be scored as him winning? B/c I got a little bit on my fingers in the process? Damn, you're strict (Blazing Saddles reference)...

I picture you hunched over the Packard bell at work going "tell Clem I'll load his truck in a minute. Some sum-bitch called me a liar on the internet. I won't stand for it, you hear I won't stand for it."

Tagline is yours. Make it a good one.

Judging from multiple spelling errors in your original post, it appears you were drunk (or something) when you made it. If that's the case, don't worry about it. Not that being drunk is an excuse for being wrong, but intoxication is always a mitigating factor as far as I'm concerned...

That is indeed a delightful image, but it also illustrates the conundrum of being called a liar on the internet. You either ignore it and get suspected of indeed lying or else you prove you weren't lying and get outscored by the judges for "too much effort". It's a no-win situation...

Hope this guy knows what he's talking about.......

NBA writer Marc Spears tweeted an interesting exchange he had with an NBA scout recently. It’s probably the best thing you’ll read all day:

NBA scout: “I saw a good NBA team practice the other day.”

Me: “Who?”

NBA scout: “The University of Kentucky.”
