I am disappointed that it took Auggie this long to reply. Also, fuck this iPad's autocorrect bullshit.

You know, autocorrect, much like one of your dates, can be turned off easily.

I was enjoying watching U*NC fans acknowledge an investigation that was a "figment of my imagination" for over a year.

UNC needs to get Lightfoot, Franklin and White to defend them against the NCAA. With them, you'll just have to vacate some wins during the Torbush era. And best of all, any wins over USCe will be preserved.

The NCAA isn't investigating U*NC. Jim Martin said it was not an athletic issue and U*NC says it's not an athletic issue so the NCAA has washed it's hands of the situation unless U*NC tells them it's ok to come back. The U*NC BOT and BOG say it's not an athletic issue and want to put this unfortunate issue behind them so in essence there is no regulatory body with any interest in doing anything except sweeping this under a rug ASAP. It's over.

Ahh, the old "Nothing to see here; move along" defense. That rarely works.

Who's going to make it not work? When the cops wont arrest, the DA wont prosecute and the judge wont sentence what do you do?

The NCAA isn't restrained by such trivialities.

I don't think you get what I'm saying. The NCAA in the person of Mark Emmert has said that they are not investigating U*NC and that it is up to U*NC to determine whether the classes are fraudulent and that unless U*NC determines that a violation has been committed the NCAA will not be returning to chapel hill.

that’s the question at UNC, Emmert said in Grapevine, Texas. “If there is an academic issue inside an institution that is, is not particularly related to athletics ... in other words, it’s an issue where a course isn’t being handled appropriately, but let’s say it’s open to all student athletes and not singling out student athletes, and it has nothing to do with an athletic program and a department, then that’s the institution’s issue rather than an NCAA issue.”
Emmert said that so far, this appears to be an academic matter, but he is awaiting more information from ongoing investigations.
guess who's conducting the ongoing investigations.

What do you do? Whine your ass off in internet chatrooms for the rest of your life. On the bright side, that seems to be working for you and you clearly enjoy it very much...

or we could run crying to the ncaa about an orientation class being fraudulent and asthma medication being a steroid.

The difference is, I haven't done what you're saying, while you have most definitely done (and will continue to do) what I'm saying...

Yes I will.
You haven't because you know good and well that if NC State got caught doing a tenth of what U*NC is getting away with the university would practically be shut down and you'd be jumping for joy. Just like never knowing the pain of having a game stolen from you by shitty, biased officiating you'll never have to see your rival get away with unmitigated institutional cheating.

Maybe that's why my feelings about NCState's failures are along the lines of amusement and mild pleasure and my occasional sass in that regard is urbane if, admittedly, mildly mocking, whilst your response to any minor travails UNC occasionally endures is perpetual wild gesticulations and hyena-like shrieking. I'm comfortable with that....

Heh...but an online music course at FSU that included both athletes and non-athletes IS an academic issue particularly related to athletes? I hate that hypocritical POS organization. I'm actually glad Miami is going to skate because the NCAA has to eat a huge pile of shit.

The NCAA has long been corrupt and a joke. The entire organization needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up.
