That's 44 over two years - or 22/yr average, and in all sports. Which is average, to low average for all sports in a two-year timeframe.
By the way, did you hear what Cecil Newton told the press? I lmao!.

"Did you take money for Cam to go to Auburn?"

"According to what the NCAA findings are, that's what we're going with."

You need the other link Prof... part of that 44 was duplication. I think it was 36 total, and I'll wager at least a cold Dr. Pepper that its fewer than most any other university.

Well well...Chizik goes on the attack against an NCAA representative and she eventually pushes back

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/14/sport ... .html?_r=2

He peppered Roe Lach with a flurry of questions about the N.C.A.A.’s investigation into Cam Newton and why the N.C.A.A. had not publicly announced that the investigation was over. Chizik complained that the inquiry’s open-ended nature had hurt Auburn’s recruiting and he followed up at least three times, leading to a testy exchange.

“You’ll know when we’re finished,” Roe Lach told Chizik, according to several coaches who were at the meeting. “And we’re not finished.”

...

Mississippi’s basketball coach, Andy Kennedy, said that he believed Chizik “was trying to get some finality to when the process was over, and it was an interesting debate, to say the least. I think the format of the meeting was set up to be generally about the lay of the land going forward. When he got into specific questions regarding their situation, I think we were all sitting back saying, ‘I didn’t know that we were going here.’ ”

Kennedy said Roe Lach gave general answers at first, but Chizik’s persistence forced her into a bigger statement — that the N.C.A.A. was still investigating Auburn.

Maybe Yahoo's big story is going to be about the most obvious school after all...

Gene should have thrown Lach out like another Gene did to another NCAA representative.

Sooooo.....This Gene lacks the testicular fortitude of the first Gene?

Not lack of testicular fortitude, but presence of wisdom. Our Gene knows what the NCAA COI did to the other Gene when the latter threw them out of his office.

That's why he berated and taunted the N.C.A.A.’s vice president for enforcement....wait, what?

Four star RB Jovon Robinson just committed to Auburn. He is rated as the #17 RB in the country by the premier recruiting service, Scout.com.

Not a bad commitment...could be a spell of relief for Dyer except y'all are stacked like chord wood at RB now with the kids transferring in. Too bad about the BG/TC stuff. you know it had to be said...

No post about a new commit to Auburn would be complete without that classic response.

<sarcasm>You are about to see a melt down not witnessed since the Jacksonville Jaguars sent the franchise into salary cap hell for a run at the 1999 Superbowl. They went 15-3 but couldn't beat the Titans. Remember?

Well, at least Auburn won the * bowl last season. Expect them to fall to about 5-7 /6-6 /7-5 before a bowl loss to a mid tier Big 10 team.</sarcasm>

LMAO! We lose our Heisman and Lombardi winners, 4 out of 5 O-linemen, pick up Florida on our schedule, play 5 preseason ranked teams, including three of them (plus Georgia and Clemson) on the road...

All this talk about trouble with the NCAA is wreaking havoc on our recruiting. Nobody with any talent wants to play for us.

We may squeak out an overtime fluke victory over Florida Atlantic, but we should be underdogs in all the other 11 games. A .500 season is a longshot. Forget about a bowl.

Gentlemen, Auburn is in trouble...
