Jimbo's end of game clock management was very Butch Davis'esque

It's never been good. But this loss is all on EJ, he was absolutely horrendous for whatever reason. I'm hoping the injuries are worse than has been said, and he has a chance to recover next year and be good, but Saturday night was more of a mental issue than a physical one as far as I could tell. It was like we had a morally sound version of AD McPherson.

This week is the first Florida-FSU game since 1986 in which both teams are unranked.

both teams have shown weak offenses and pretty good defenses - could be a 7-6 score...edge to the gators at home

What a shitbox of an offensive 'performance' that was. Thank God the defense actually suited up for the game.
State Champs, back-to-back, I'll take it.

Didn't Harvard play UCONN in a very close game last year? They are the favorites for the IVY league this year.

Any win in Hogtown is greatly appreciated - but good lord what a stb offense that was.
Speaking of which - did anyone see the end of the UConn basketball game - granted I was drunk in a bar surrounded by Gators, but gotdamn that seemed like a weak ass foul call at the end of regulation giving them 3 free throws to tie the game.

the mullet wrapper this morning was predicting noles vs auburn in the peach - tv this evening is reporting noles vs nd in the citrus ... either way, if we play offense like we have the last two weeks we will be soundly beat by either opponent

Jenkins, a redshirt freshman, told a Tallahassee Police Department officer that he found the motorcycle “out in the open.”
“Anyone who leaves a motorcycle out in the open should expect to have it stolen,” Jenkins is quoted as telling a police officer in a probable cause affidavit released Monday.
At least he didn't go to the mall.

But one reason that Jenkins could remain on FSUs roster is that dismissing him would mean the football team takes a hit in the Academic Progress Rate (APR), which determines if a team is eligible for postseason play. In 2012, the NCAA is raising the APR requirement from 900 to 930, meaning that there is smaller margin for coaches to dismiss student-athletes from a team before they graduate.

That's bullshit.
Anyway, it's not like he shot the president...

The most gratifying aspect of yesterday's come-from-behind victory over the fucking Irish was the officiating - GOD it was nice to not literally laugh out loud at the incompetence of ACC officiating every time they took a big play off the board for us.

I think he is saying that he's glad he DIDN'T have ACC officials.

Yeah, my previous post was poorly worded, but ACC officiating is so head-scratchingly bad that yesterday was a very pleasant experience. Even though there were some questionable calls (going both ways) in the SEC-officiated UF game, it was quite noticeable that there were no ACC officials present.
I know the Baylor-UW game was entertaining but I didn't watch it and I'm glad - I can't stomach seeing Ron Cherry's face...period.
