unless they are ready to pony up $2.2m a year, then the level of coaches they can get to rebuild and compete against UNC/Duke and the rest of the ACC on a yearly basis is a pretty small pool with little hope of real ROI

supposedly Yow had a $4mil budget to get a coach and assistants. money was not an issue except if she was offering people like Barnes or Donovan where either school could easily match or beat whatever offer we made. I dont know what she offered Smart but it got him a raise. maybe he called Williams after Yow offered and was told she was a pain in the ass so he took his money from VCU and stayed home. I dont think Stevens was ever a viable option. Gregg Marshall supposedly talked himself out of the job. maybe she should have grabbed Painter from Purdue since apparently he was open to offers. hell, all I know is that Gottfried cant be any worse than Sid.

Debbie could have propped her sister Kay up on the sidelines, "Weekend at Bernie's style", and not done much worse than Sid....

Serious question.... what took so long for Carlos Boozer to jell in the NBA. He is a horse, man. The guy can play. Maturity? Team chemistry?

There is a link that says "User Control Panel" at the top. Click on it then go to "Profile" and select "Edit account settings" on the left.

Of all people, I'm surprised at you for asking this, Onion. You know it takes close to a decade for the dedook*oxification process to work on blew devil* pros. Of course, some crash cars and crotch rockets before the experimental procedure ever has a chance to work, so the jury is still out on just how effective it is.

"Right now we are displaying 20 posts per page. The only limit currently set is a 60,000 character per single post limit."

I'll get busy on testing that limit...

"I guess this thread will just keep growing until we retire it. Perhaps we could archive threads every year, to refresh things, or just let the topics grow forever."

As depressing as it is to say this, yearly threads would be pretty cool. Then we'd be able to refer to years like hoops seasons. "Remember back in '14 when Crow sassed the Carolina fans? That was great!" Ugh. But certainly there has to be some glimmer of light in the darkness of years, and on the rare chance that ever occurs, having yearly threads would be a fine way to refer to such rare glimpses of hope...

Anyway, great job on this place, guys. aTm, I didn't realize you were such a computer wiz. Very nice. As CAT axed earlier, is there any cost to this? I'm glad to chip in...
