It would be interesting if the Repubs would come up with a decent contender.

Chris Christie is looking towards 2016, as are some of the other better GOP candidates. Why can't he or some of the others step up now...for the good of the country?

As opposed to some other kind of black?

You're a newcomer to the PNNery, dora, or else you'd understand that rarely can things be taken for granted clarity-wise. Sometimes it's even helpful to use props and draw big circles and arrows.

Very true. And, frankly, I blame the Republicans. They waited for half a century for an opportunity to control both houses of Congress and the WH, simultaneously. And when they finally got it, they blew it.
Even the Great W was unable to prevent those darned Republicans from blowing it when they were in charge.

As a newcomer I would certainly appreciate that. Muchas gracias! :)

One could draw a bright red circle around the profile and avatar of every idiot, but its easier just not to circle anyone...

I'll help you out, Dora.

bluetick is a dye in the wool Democrat from Tenn who fears that his party has positioned itself so that the only way they will be able to elect a President is if it's a minority...

Hope that helps.

If that's what he thinks then he's wrong.

A TN democrat doesn't fear what's going on in D.C., Sardis.

We've got wayyyyy too much to worry about as we await the next bill from our new tea party TN legislature.
  • guns in bars
    guns in parks
    guns on campus
guns in parking lots of ALL business establishments
the teaching of creationism in public schools
"can't say gay" in grades K-8
no collective bargaining for teacher's association (TN teachers rank 48th nationally pay-wise)
new TN currency to replace the federal one
    overturn Roe v Wade
birthcertificate long form required for 2012 candidates
    remove restrictions to hilltop/mountaintop stripmining
following any tenets of Sharia Law is a felony
breastfeeding is illegal if children > 3 yrs are plugged in
    shorten(!) early voting periods
let the Tenn Bankers Association write new foreclosure legislation
    no wine in supermarkets
    eliminate helmet requirement for motorcyclists
reject term limits for TN legislators
levy a 'road tax' on electric car owners (in lieu of a gas tax)
a ban on unrestrained pets in cars

At least the TN legislature isn't requiring every student to study gay and disabled history.

LOL

And all these yay-hoos ran on a less government/more jobs platform. Even some tea partiers acknowledge they've reneged on the "less" gubmint part.

The only thing I would add is that if a woman is still breastfeeding the kid past the age of 3, they will require some kind of therapy...

Actually the bill was struck down, Sardis. It was determined that TN was the only state in the union that had an age-requirement wrt breast-feeding - so out of shame, presumably.. it was overturned two weeks ago.

Some of the bills I listed are law and some are being considered - some are tabled for future sessions. It's a regular laugh-riot around here.

I liked the guns part, but they lost me at the "no wine in supermarkets" part. This being Tennessee, I trust there will be an exemption for rheumatiz medicine.
