4. South Carolina. 5-1 (3-1). Spanked Kentucky. Steve Spurrier said, "We could have scored 70 or 80, but decided that 50 was enough." Ouch. SoS with the salt to the wound. Just like the good old days. Still not sure how this team lost to Auburn at home. Next: @Miss State.
Prof said it was because Garcia played like he was still drunk from the night before...

SEC rankings:

1. LSU. 7-0 (4-0). Had their way with the Vols in Neyland - which is not easy. Boy, November 5 is looking huge. Clear #1 here. Next: Auburn.

2. Alabama. 7-0 (4-0). ANother game where the Tide looked sluggish in the first half, but came alive in the second half. Next: Tennessee.

3. Arkansas. 5-1 (1-1). Had a bye this week. Next: Ole Miss.

4. South Carolina. 6-1 (4-1). Ripped Miss State's heart out with a close win in Starkville. Next: Bye.

5. Georgia. 5-2 (4-1). Won a close game at Vandy. Next: Bye.

6. Auburn. 5-2 (3-1). Beat Florida in a mistake-filled game for both sides. Next: @LSU.

7. Florida. 4-3 (2-3). This team is hobbled with injuries and are still trying to adjust to a new style and a new staff. They get a much needed bye before TWLOCP. Next: Bye.

8. Tennessee. 3-3 (0-3). Played LSU close for a half. This team is young and injured, but has the core of a good team. Next: @Alabama.

9. Vandy. 3-3 (1-3). Scrappy team. Fell just a bit short against Georgia. Next: Army.

10. Miss State. 3-4 (0-4). Bulldogs played better on D in a losing effort against the Cocks. Next: Bye.

11. Ole Miss. 2-4 (0-3). Thumped by Bama. Next: Arkansas.

12. Kentucky. 2-4 (0-3). Had a bye this week. Next: Jacksonville State.

I doubt the veracity of these "rankings"

You should be off this board until July. Be gone.

Maybe I should move the A&M thread here now.

Your mind is clouded. No doubt you are paralyzed with fear over the impending domination that will soon be unleashed upon the SEC by the Texas Aggies.

I'm looking forward to A&M being in the SEC. My only trip to College Station was in 1988. Had a good time.

And didn't you opine that Mizzou would never be a SEC member? Word is they have 10 of the current 12 SEC schools in favor, and those two schools (one of which is Alabama) are willing to cave if Mizzou is assigned to the SEC-East (initially).

Exactly!

I recently stated that I thought the Mizzou academics might be uenthusiastic about joining the SEC. A long, long time ago I said that Missouri or West Virginia would be the 14th SEC team. I think we have some sort of bet about it.

You did say you thought Mizzou (or Wva) should be in the SEC, but then added later that Mizzou and two other teams would turn the SEC down.
