I read a story that says Hart was hurt during 7-on-7 drills.

Question - has you all's fall practice already started? Ours'n doesn't start until August 8th (freshmen report August 3rd).

This was an informal drill that the players organized. It wasn't even a contact injury.

We start next year against Michigan in Dallas and the year after we start the season with VaTech in Atlanta. I like it.

Agreed. That first game against real competition is much better than a tune up when you get more out of a practice scrimmage.

We should be fine at RB this year. Lacy is a more than "Crompetent" back up to TR, and Fowler is a beast with decent speed at 3rd string. If one of those go down though, we'll really need someone to step up to keep the rotation Saban likes to employ.

Sorry to hear about Hart's injury. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

But I agree with GBJ; you have no reason to worry. Now you are only three deep in high quality RB's instead of five. If Saban really gets concerned, he can just get Peaches to adopt Grant, and bring him back to the fold.

Wow. One of the very real options for Bama at RB - Brent Calloway - just became a little less real:

I especially likes this line:
"I said 'whatever', so I took the class. I crammed everything in and got all the work done in three-and-a-half days. I took the tests and passed.
I didn't realize that Russellville High school offered classes with "three and a half day" semesters. I'm sure that kind of academic arrangement is very common and available to all their students, athletes or not.

An Auburn fan implying that there was academic impropriety at another school?

That's about the funniest goddamn thing I've read all week. lmao. Well done.

I'm glad you are amused. I'm laughing my butt off also - at Alabama public high schools that offer classes with 3 1/2 day terms offered to Alabama football signees. That's ludicrously funny.

Almost as funny as college level sociology classes where attendance, tests, papers, projects and research are completely voluntary? For the football players, that is...

Yeah, lmao. Thanks again. I really needed that laugh and I mean that sincerely. For a sec, you had me fooled into believeing that you were wrapping yourself in righteous indignation. Again, well done.

If there's a problem, he won't play under Saban. There are many reasons he's

Worth. Every. Cent.

lol.

Heard that for a loOOoooong time now.

"He'll be gone after one year!"

(one year later)

"Okay, he's gone after two!"

(one MORE year later)

"I meant three years! He's def gone after three!

(one MORE year later)

"No way he finishes year four!"

(one MORE year later, as Saban begins his 5th season at Bama)

"saban headed north, jsyk"

lmao...

If by "headed north" you mean back to Tuscaloosa after recrutin' the top dogs in south Alabama, then your correct.

If UA lets you pass a class in 3.5 days like Russellville High, then Calloway can take and pass all his freshman year classes during Christmas break.

If UA taught a class where attendance, projects, tests, and projects weren't required, we'd be the sociology department at Auburn.
