who feared that? I've been waiting for it.

has anyone watched Enlightenment? I thought it might suck at first but it turned out to be far more entertaining than Bored To Death, which became a little camp this season.

Dougie on Enlightenment might be my new favorite HBO character.

Ah yes, one of my favorites:

Mommy told me something
a little kid should know.
It's all about the devil
and I've learned to hate him so.
She said he causes trouble
when you let him in the room.
He will never ever leave you
if your heart is filled with gloom.

So let the sun shine in
face it with a grin.
Smilers never lose
and frowners never win.
So le the sun shine in
face it with a grin
Open up your heart and let the sun shine in.

When you are unhappy,
the devil wears a grin
But oh, he starts to running
when the light comes pouring in
I know he'll be unhappy
'Cause I'll never wear a frown
Maybe if we keep on smiling
He'll get tired of hanging 'round.

If I forget to say my prayers
the devil wears a grin.
But he feels so awful awful
when he sees me on my knees
So if you're full of trouble
and you never seem to win,
Just open up your heart and let the sun shine in.

So let the sun shine in
face it with a grin.
Smilers never lose
and frowners never win.
So le the sun shine in
face it with a grin
Open up your heart and let the sun shine in.

And another one:

Eep
Opp
Ork
Ah ah
Get in the capsule, baby
We are blasting off.

Eep opp ork ah ah (whooooo)
Eep opp ork ah ah (whooooo)
Eep epp ork ah ah
And that means I love you.

Well now, I took my baby for a ride in space
(Eep epp ork ah ah)
And met a funny little man with a funny face
(Eep epp ork ah ah)
He taught us both to wail this way
(Eep epp ork ah ah)
And nobody digs a word we say
(Eep epp ork ah ah).

Eep epp ork ah ah (whooooo)
Eep epp ork ah ah (whooooo)
Eep epp ork ah ah
And that means I love you.

Yeah I read my baby loud and clear
(Eep epp ork ah ah)
She just said I love you dear.
(Eep epp ork ah ah)
Now when I reply the way I do
(Eep epp ork ah ah)
I just said I love you too
Come fly with me!
Up high with me!
Come on fly with me
And now Eep epp ork means I dig you.

you heard the word that crazy word
That word you heard Eep epp ork ah ah means I love you.

Hop on baby, I'll put you in orbit.

I can't explain why but growing up as a kid, it wasn't Christmas time until I saw this commercial

This , Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman all on TV was Xmas Orgasm to an 8 year old kid

Now as an adult, It's a Wonderful Life means Xmas.

waaaay overdue

After years of talk, the unbelievable-but-true story of Marion Barry may be coming soon to a flat-screen TV near you — starring Eddie Murphy as D.C.’s former mayor-for-life.

We’re told that a still-untitled Barry biopic is in development by HBO Films, with the veteran comic and Oscar nominee attached as the star, Spike Lee as director, John Ridley as writer, and all three as executive producers.

I was in DC that night when he got arrested. I was interviewed on 3 local stations, ABC National News and in the Washington Post (still have the paper). Crazy night.

Sounds cool. Why were you interviewed?

I was a student, freshman in college. I saw on the news that Mayor Barry was arrested and watched it...and then noticed that my RA Miguel was on TV standing in the background. So, I grabbed my G'town hat and my jacket and ran outside because it was on 14th and M and I lived on 13th and N. I was standing around and TV journos were asking people questions in the crowd and they latched onto my comments. So, one camera was followed by another, then another and another (it was cool because my Mom actually saw me).

After the TV cameras were done with me a WaPo journalist tapped me and asked me some questions. I answered them and lead off on his story...front page of the WaPo.

(I wound up getting reader mail addressed to WaPo, that they forwarded to my University, who forwarded it to my parents' house...some were a bit odd, but that was the end of that portion of [one of] my 15 minutes of fame)

I think it's obvious. He said, "Dat bitch set him up!"

I'm not a fan of the 3 Stooges but I am a fan of the Farrelly Brothers. This looks funny to me . America needs a Dumb and Dumber type movie.

That it was a sad event...that Marion Barry was a trailblazer for African American politicians and I hoped that this event would not give fire to those who would use him as a posterboy for broad statements regarding black pols' ability and ethics.

I wanna see the movie...but I don't see how you can not like the 3 Stooges and want to see this. It's them to a T, just in a modern setting.
