62-Year-Old With Gun Only One Standing Between Nation And Full-Scale Government Takeover
NORFOLK, VA—According to numerous reports, local 62-year-old Earl Bailey, who owns a shotgun and several boxes of ammunition, is currently the last bastion of defense between the United States of America and the federal government’s plot of a full-scale takeover.
Bailey, a recent retiree and a proud advocate of gun rights, has been confirmed by multiple sources as being a true patriot, and is, at present, the only person capable of preventing top-secret forces within the government from striking and forcefully coercing hundreds of millions of Americans to submit to a fascist and brutal New World Order.
Since the early 1990s, sources estimated the gun owner has staved off innumerable large-scale government threats, all from the center of his 12-acre ranch.
“It is every American’s right to be good and armed, and that’s a right that should always be protected,” said Bailey, now the sole American protecting the nation from the government’s hidden plot of disarming all citizens, gradually gaining control of the mass media, and installing martial law throughout the nation’s streets. “Our Founding Fathers intended for each and every one of us to protect ourselves from tyranny. That’s what America is all about.”
“What happens when the feds show up at your front door and start telling you how much meat you can eat or how to raise your kids?” continued the lifetime NRA member, brandishing the very weapon that now serves as the final hope of staving off a totalitarian state. “Is that the future you want?”

"Out of 350 million people we have 11K-12K gun homicides a year. Out of that, 400 are with rifles. It is so immaterial that it is a waste of legislative time to bother restriction."
How many people die b/c of drugs every year? About the same. And yet we spend billions due to drug legislation trying to "do something" about it. Why should it be different with guns?

If they do the mid-air refueling properly, they can use the same planes to nuke Iran. Two birds with one stone, as it were.

Wow! In my day he'd be a hero.
When I said the PAH (.05 to Mil) would never be HNIC, I didn't mean she would lose to a Rep.
Too bad shock and awe ended.

Jungle Rat wrote:I don't understand what your parents financial situation had to do with it. You paid your own way through college right? Did BC reject your application?
I did pay my way through college which meant working full-time while in college. That meant only night school. The evening program at BC was available to me but it would have cost an additional $16,000 over a 5 year span. I could barely pay for Northeastern. BC was right out....
...by the by, you do not "apply" to evening programs. You just start paying and taking classes, open enrollment. No one is "rejected" when you are in continuing education. Eventually, after they see your grades st night school, you "matriculate" into a degree program at night and apply all the credits you have earned. I think that might be the policy at every single evening program in the country because those programs are just gravy for the school.

The second ammendment was not for hunting. It was to ensure that the citizens would have recourse over out of control gubment. To think otherwise is just silly.
And no the single shot shotgun isn't going to help, that's why they want to remove the semi autos because in reality those WOULD help and help quite a bit.
Dictators and wannabe dictators fear an armed populace.

Neither of those statements are correct. A well-regulated militia being necessarry to the maintenance of a free state, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. They primarily (not the only reason) were concerned with the protection of the country from the superpowers of the day, France and England, something they rightfully should have been scared of. The purpose of the militia was not to protect the individual from the federal govt. The POTUS is the head of the militia.

I think it's fairly easy, and correct, to interpret the 2nd amendment as allowing private citizens to arm themselves for multiple reasons including self defense, and protection from tyrannical governments foreign and domestic. While our forefathers may not have anticipated the machine gun and tank they damn sure knew that the rifle was a game changer compared to the musket and that the cannon ruled the battlefield and didn't see fit to outlaw private citizens from owning either.

Sounds like BS to me. From the original source, this kid was upstairs and saw the two gunmen downstairs. If someone has a gun on you and you scream, methinks they'd be more inclined to shoot you or leave immediately, rather than creep upstairs and open your roommate's door. Also, if I go through a door and see the barrel of a gun, I would shoot first on the theory that if I try to leave, I'll get shot in the back.
Classic. So like tick you just attack the source and assume its all bullshit. Certainly makes things easy for ya.
