And so it goes. Next day they are in court, and she files for a unilateral divorce (which she will get because that is the law now in all 50 states), plus alimony, child support, and she she keeps the house and primary child custody, and in the mean time, he will not be allowed in the home. Feminism has seen to it that this happens, the feminist imperative.

All she has to do is get a protection order for whatever reason and you're gone for at least 10 days before you have a chance to defend yourself. They call it a cooling off period. If within those 10 days she also files for divorce good luck getting back in your house to collect your stuff without a deputy on hand.

I do family/domestic law. Wait for it...Rat is right. Women (and some men) misuse Domestic Violence Protective Orders all of the time to get the spouse or opposing party (unmarried parents living together) out of the home to get an upper hand. Judges in our district are more strict on granting emergency/ex parte DVPO's and emergency/ex parte custody orders now because of the misuse to gain an upper hand at the commencement of litigation.

Also, in North Carolina, we still have Divorce From Bed and Board, which is only used now to force someone out of the home.

Media isn't helping. They showed police shooting tear gas at a man for protesting, in his own yard. That does not calm the masses down.

a friend of mine went thru a nasty divorce several years ago. He was so bitter about it that I didn't want to be around him.

Had a sticker on his car with Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes that said "piss on my ex wife"

I told him if he ever wanted to be around a woman worth a damn again to get rid of that stupid sticker and stop fucking obsessing about his ex.

He never took my advice - 12 years later he is still single with a string of one night stands including a woman with one leg, another just out of rehab and one living in a tent in the woods

Well I am sure the looting and general dumbassness from the crowd hasn't helped much either......
