Damn. She's a senior?

I thought you said something along the lines of her not being that interested in football. I guess that changed...

I really thought Kiffin would fall on his face. He didn't win at USC, he's going win at Ole Miss. He's actually done pretty well.

yea, its flown by hasn't it. This is her 4th year. I think she told me she is going to hold off graduating and do a semester abroad in New Zealand either this summer or fall depending on covid restrictions, but she should be finishing up her required classwork in the spring.

She likes football well enough I guess. This year she has an on campus apartment very close to the stadium and the greek housing, plus she turned 21 a few weeks back. I doubt I see much of her this year.

I bought a houndstooth suit to wear to graduation.

there have been some ups and downs. She made presidents list twice. Dropped out of the program that was the reason she chose Bama to begin with, and had a boyfriend that was abusive to her , admitted to me later he hit her.

I know where he lives.

this will get people talking a bit

The relationship between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick has taken center stage this week as the two are set to go head-to-head for the first time ever when the Buccaneers and Patriots kick off their primetime matchup on Sunday night. While there have been plenty of reporters detailing the icy relationship between these two pillars of New England's dynasty, the upcoming book, "It's Better to Be Feared," by ESPN's Seth Wickersham, detailed another fascinating wrinkle in their deterioration.

As Wickersham highlights in the book, the initial fractures -- between Brady, Belichick and Robert Kraft -- in this relationship go back years. In 2017, Brady allegedly told those close to him, "I don't want to play for BIll anymore." It was around that time, Wickersham, writes, that Kraft, Brady and a few others discussed scenarios about who would replace Belichick. If Josh McDaniels left for another head coaching job, the Patriots could hire Bill O'Brien to one day succeed Belichick. O'Brien then caught wind of that plan and tried to force his way out of Houston.

"The plan was fanciful but O'Brien heard about it," Wickersham writes, via an excerpt released by ESPN.com. "He was in a power struggle of his own in Houston, fighting with general manager Rick Smith, a 'dysfunctional' and 'toxic' situation, according to the Houston Chronicle. The leaks from O'Brien's camp, claiming he wanted out, were so aggressive as to be suspicious, as if he knew he had a golden parachute. In the end, though, the [Texans] chose O'Brien over Smith, giving the coach more control over football operations. O'Brien later joked to a confidant that it was a somewhat empty victory. 'I was trying to get fired,' he said."While the discontent with Belichick was well documented on Brady's end, the book also highlights how Kraft would oftentimes grow tired of the head coach. The book reveals that Kraft told confidants that "Bill was an idiot savant," pointing to his reputation prior to coming on with the Patriots in 2000 after coaching the Browns. He also felt that Belichick "didn't show him the respect he deserved, but he was in no rush for life after him."

Wickersham also writes that Kraft once called Belichick the "biggest f----ng a--hole in my life."

Despite that in-fighting, the Patriots were able to continue to win at the highest level, including their final title together in Super Bowl LIII during the 2018 season.

I was watching Hard Knocks on the Cowboys last weekend. A couple of episodes focused on a running back trying to make the team. I think his name was Hardy

Anyways, the guy is struggling against the defense, can't get cuts in practice and is getting chewed up by his coaches. At one point Elliot takes him under his wing and is telling him how to run. He still struggles, then later on in practice, Elliot is like "Hardy, watch me" and he gets the ball and just slices the defense, makes them look silly, and he does it a couple more times, all the while telling Hardy what to do.

The next time Hardy goes in, Elliot tells one of the coaches, "Watch this, Hardy is about to get his" and sure enough, Hardy shreds the defense.

Then he gets cut and he is on the practice squad.

But it really showed the differences in an elite running back. To have the confidence to say "watch me embarrass this defense" and then go do it almost effortlessly

I think a lot of Carolina fans got their expectations for this season way too high and discounted the hit we were going to take by losing one of the best running back tandems in CFB history (and two receivers who both got drafted). You don't just replace that kind of production (unless you're Alabama), no matter how "veteran" your O-line is, which is the only thing some fans were focusing on. Of course, we did put up 700 yards of offense against UVa, but that probably just shows more how bad UVa's defense is than how good our offense is...

1) we need pics of you in the Houndstooth suit

2) I am so sorry your daughter went through that.

3) is she in a sorority? Do you have pics of her friends from social media? Are there any spring break pics?

To say nothing of the issues at wide receiver (losing Brown and Newsome hurt and not having Corrales is killing us).

Howell bears a lot of the responsibility for the number of sacks and turnovers because he tries to do too much, doesn’t move off of his primary / initial read quick enough and refuses to throw the ball away when he has nothing (which goes towards the ‘doing too much’ comment).

This is a 6-6 team as it stands right now.

That's true, but I think Josh Downs is fantastic...

I think the same, but Howell needs to stop staring him down on every play.

Beating Pittsburg on the road actually gave Bengal fans hope. Now they're getting their ass waxed by the worst team in the league. The more things change the more the stay the same. Me I gave up hope years ago.

fifer, rat, and eCat,

Saturday may be the day in all of the University of Cincinnati's football history. What a way for them to be welcomed into the Big-XII with a win over a possible playoff team in Notre Dame. Does anyone in your town care or is it all Bengals/Buckeyes talk, all the time?
