This one hurt worse than last year's game (and I didn't think that was possible.) This one hurt almost as much as 2007.

You know, BC played FSU about as well as they possibly could today, and I agree with Addazio. This still sucks.

somehow or another FSU has managed to go 12 - 0, congrats to the team and the coaches

imo UF had the best pass defense we faced all season - Jameis could not force the ball into the spots he normally did...luckily O'Leary was open twice near the end zone - congrats to the gator defenders

the question now becomes can the Nole D shutdown the GT run like they did the gator run - I think if GT is held to less than 200 yds on the ground the Noles win

If we hold the best offensive team in the country (per F/+) to under 200 yds rushing, we should dominate - unless those 200 yards come on very short fields.

Of course if Jameis decides to have a UF-like game, short fields could very well be the story. Jimbo said the BC game may have been his best yet (though receivers dropped about 6 well-thrown passes), then he follows it up with by far his worst game. Dalvin Cook continues to get better, and should be fun to watch the next couple of years.

It's funny how much we got spoiled last year. If we had gone 12-0 with so many close games any time from 2002-2012, FSU fans would be absolutely ecstatic and prideful. Now we just fret and fret and pray that this isn't the week our luck runs out. I feel much better about the GT game after Saturday's rush defense performance but Paul Johnson will be much better about in-game adjustments than the UF staff was.

It was a strange game - if you had told me we'd hold them to basically 100 yards on the ground I would have said we would win by 4 TD's.

Still - like I told my crowd at the post game tailgate - we havent finished a season unbeaten near enough to not enjoy the hell out of this one.

Exactly.

Last year was a dream come true, anything good this year is just icing on the cake. If we lose any of the next (potentially) three games, I'll be disappointed but not upset.

heh

I admit - I dont want to lose to Bama.

Anybody else I wouldnt be happy but I could live with it.

Last year would have hurt bad had we lost because It had been so long and it seemed like once in a decade team.

Why Bama more than the other teams?

I don't want to lose to anyone. And I get hating a loss to a longstanding rival more, but we aren't rivals.

If I had to lose to anyone in the current final 7 or so, it would be Bama. Blake Sims is from my area and my kids like him a lot (we went and watched him lose in the state championship game his senior year - f'in Peach County), and they are the gold standard for recruitment, development, and execution in CFB. I don't want a west coast team to win for no particular reason, Art Briles annoys the piss out of me, f'in purple frogs knocked us out of the College World Series a few years ago so they piss me off, and Urban Meyer can suck it. I guess I don't hate Arizona that much so they would be the only other team I could stand losing to.

However I do hope anOSU makes it in if we do because I think they are the easiest to beat out of the contenders.

Purely personal - my best friend from high school married into a big Bama family - and I have 3 clients who are huge fans - the shit talking I would endure would be bad.

I have actually like Bama since childhood (Bear and Major Ogilvie!!!!) - just dont want to lose to them !!!!

Also to be fair - when we won back in 2007 or whenever - I may have talked some shit.......

2007? Really? I don't remember that. Saban's 5th game at Bama in his first year, the team with the stink of Shula oozing from every corner of the program. The Noles won by, what? 7? 10?

Can't imagine any sane fan talking shit about that game.

Both. Whatever. I'm not into smack talk about games from 2007. Hard to get a rise out of me on either.
