Okay, so I go up to Dallas for the weekend. On the way up, I stop in Buffalo, TX to snack on what are usually top-notch pecan logs. The logs were pretty crappy this time, though (not very sweet). In Dallas, I have dinner with a buddy at what's usually a very good chinese restaurant--hell, they even serve Vietnamese Pho now, which I love--and the whole thing tasted like fast food Timmy Chan's. On the way back, I stop in Ennis, Tx for what's usually some good old fashion Texas sweet tea that ended up tasting like diet Lipton's. Just crappy all around.

Yet, at work this morning, I shrug my shoulders and go downtstairs to the mediocre deli to buy a breakfast taco and it ends up being the best breakfast taco I've had in months.

There must be gremlins in the kitchen.

I thought that was just a gimmick by Stuckey's to get people to stop at their gas station.

When done right, they're pretty good. It's not something I'd push people to go out of their way to eat or anything, but for something to snack on every so often, the place in Buffalo is (usually) pretty good.
