I'm starting to believe Nole, too. I still say that his parents are largely behind it and he does not want to play there...but Randle messed up that first option. I'm a little surprised that UNC did not have a bigger pull to him.

From one of the IC mods:
"With 90 minutes to go in the recruitment, Calipari goes on a Twitter rant about how important academics are to his program."

not sure that would appeal to Wiggins at all. Kid doesn't want to go to summer school , which supposedly is a knock against UK and FSU ( both for basketball related reasons.)
its probably not a good sign that the UK fanbase has already started positioning itself with the "we still have the best class with or without Wiggins". Doesn't show much confidence.

I just read what Cal wrote. damn..that really must eat UNC up
... posted a 3.4 GPA for the spring semester. Twelve of our 13 guys had a 3.0 or better and two had a 4.0. I’m proud of the hard work our guys have put in both on and off the court. When you come to Kentucky, you are either going pro or getting a degree -- or both. We call it the success rate, and right now we’re batting 100 percent. When you run a players-first program, it’s not just about loving to play basketball; it’s about teaching our kids the love of learning.

I liked how he said UK is batting .1000 when it comes to achieving the goals he laid out. I guess he counts transfers as a walk...

Thought all along it would be either FSU or Kansas. No doubt Poythress is breathing a sigh of relief. Kentucky could have benefited from Wiggins but should still be good without him. And tbh, I would rather have Randle instead of Wiggins if I had to choose between the two of them. We'll see if I'm correct at end of next season.

well, considering the recent mess from McLemore, it seems Kansas can afford to pay a little more than Kentucky. because of Augie and his ilk, Roy has to watch his step now, dammit.

Why are they making that sign (which is strikingly similar to a particular fraternity hand signal)?
Also, I don't know how you say you would rather have Randle than Wiggins...except out of "love the one you're with" or that maybe he'll be there more than one year. I like Randle's game and he's got a developed physique. However, his game is nowhere near as well rounded as Wiggins' is, at this point.
