Word on IC is that Wiggins's coach either said or tweeted that Wiggins will announce on Tuesday. Not huge news, considering that Wednesday is the last day to sign a LOI (not sure what that even means, considering that anyone can still go wherever they want without signing a LOI), but still. If this kid chooses UK, I'm going to be sick...

Big Blue nation will be shocked if he doesn't.

Now officially set to sign his LOI tomorrow at 12:15. No press, just a private ceremony at his school. This will be interesting...

no, he's always been that kind of kid. From what I understand there will be one reporter.

I fought the magic that was Wiggins for a long time. I thought Dot was just homering it up on kid. As I thought about it, maybe Canada helped keep him in a better place mentally, growing up. Either way, after watching him play up close, if he keeps working on his game I see him being a flat-out dominant force. He just controls the game and fits seamlessly in with the guys on the floor...taking up the minuses on the floor. It's something to watch. I'm sold.
I think UK is a little on the outside, though, because of Randle. If Cal didn't land him, I think they would have the inside track. My money is on UNC, UK then FSU.

Report on IC states that had Randle chosen KU, that's where Wiggins would've gone. IC staff posted on the thread which accompanied that story that, while nothing is truly known, they are not hearing much buzz for UK or UNC by people "close" to the situation and that it feels like it's down to KU and FSU...

you can hear any scenarios depending on which board you visit.
The consensus on the UK board is of course UK and then FSU.
UNC board has had people saying he has been locked up for weeks for them.
FSU I thought was out of the picture until they booted a kid to free up a scholarship. The timing of that has me worried because I have to believe that mom and dad told them to get serious about recruiting their son.
Who knows about Kansas.
Wiggins just isn't a typical American kid so I have to believe his logic as to where to go is going to be a bit different than a run of the mill streetball phenom.
The only thing I've learned from this is the "insiders" from every board are just full of horseshit. I really wish people would stop listening to them...it just creates a circus and a lot of unnecessary backlash toward a kid who just wants what is best for him.

"you can hear any scenarios depending on which board you visit."
Yeah, which is why it's not very comforting to see an IC mod saying he's not hearing much buzz for UNC...

"UNC board has had people saying he has been locked up for weeks for them."
There are plenty yapping that way, but significantly less (only 3 or 4, actually) who seem to be regarded as insiders or as having a good track record on these things, one of whom is our old friend oe. I need to PM him and tell him to come over here and celebrate if he is right...

FWIW, Matt Jones is saying FSU.
mainly basing it on the fact that his connections would know by now, and not just UK but Kansas and UNC. FSU to him is the wild card because nobody ever bothered to get any connections there before.

What is exactly interesting about an 18 year old letting you know where he will spend the next year?

he also says that Wiggins recruitment has been so different that he really has no gauge on how well Wiggins has kept where he is going a secret.
Inviting only a local reporter either prevents anyone from further guessing which big school it is or buffers him from the fallout when he chooses FSU.

From all accounts, this kid isn't an attention whore or anything close to it. Hard to understand why he would open his recruitment back up when he was down to FSU and UK if he ends up going to FSU anyway...
