State isn't even amongst the finalists for any of these recruits. I get that you're a BC fan and have no idea how elite recruiting works in any sport. Stick to complaining about the ex you beat in front of the kids.
I'll grant you that BC has struggled landing elite recruits (pretty much since Tom O'Brien left.) Last year's class (the first with Hafley) is probably the best class we've had since 2006. But that is not saying much. So yeah I'll grant you that DS.
But what I have learned about watching "recruiting" for college football players for the last 25 years is that, there is no real science to this. Its a sales pitch, that's it. Nick Saban is a salesman, gifted in "fast-talk." What are you "selling?" What is UNC "selling" to the elite recruits the NC-State isn't? I think that is the difference.
I have no idea how good a recruiter Doreen is or if he has landed the occasional 4-star at NC-State. I consider pretty much all 4-stars and 5-stars to be elite. That said DS, Matt Ryan at BC, you know how good he was. He was just a 3-star. So, sometimes (oftentimes) its a craps shoot.
Mack Brown could sell shit to a pig farmer, you dolt.
You know as much about football and recruiting as you do about respecting women, you low rent Ike Turner cocksucker.

Well, this "dolt" understands that Mack Brown sold Howell. So yeah, impressive salesman. He pried him away from FSU. Of course, Mack Brown had the "home field discount" since Howell is a North Carolina born and bred. I'm not sure there was a lot pressure there in closing the deal.
This year (perhaps only for this year) UNC has the best QB in the conference. You have a window here DS. Your window is as long as Howell plays college football (one, or if you are lucky two more years.) Once he's gone, that window is closed and it will be Clemson's conference again. When we played you guys last year, we gave you everything we had (everything we had) and on the last play, if we get the 2 point conversion, tied game. As it turns out, we fucked that all up and you got the 2 points I think. Anyway, extremely close, excellent game. I'd say this year, we are very much your equal (even if Jurkovec is not quite as good as Howell.)
I don't know how badly you guys got hurt by graduation. If I remember correctly, you guys have a very veteran team last year. But after watching Howell, I think the sky's the limit for UNC. Lets see what happens.

Any predictions on who the top QB's will be after Mahomes, Allen, Brady, Wilson, Rodgers, Watson, Jackson, and Prescott? I've seen Tannehill and Stafford rated highly, but it all looks like a pile of slop after the top 8 to me.
Kyler Murray is better than at least half of this list.
Matthew Stafford probably will be as well.
I'm interested to see Stafford too

The only things you “got” are domestic violence restraining orders, alimony payments and past due child support.

I'm shocked anyone could think that unless you think some of the older guys on the list of 8 are just going to start losing their edge like Brees did last year.

An Ohio-based high school football program is at the center of controversy following a weekend mismatch on ESPN.
Bishop Sycamore made national headlines when it was blown out 58-0 by IMG Academy, a Florida-based football powerhouse.
The exhibition game was nationally televised on ESPN over the weekend as part of the network's weeklong high school football showcase.
Bishop Sycamore apparently touted that it had several "highly-recruited prospects," but none of them were on the team's roster, several media outlets report, accusing the program of potentially lying to appear on national television.
The program claims it is based in Columbus, Ohio, but it is not affiliated with the Ohio High School Athletic Association. The Department of Education lists no charter school with its name.
Questions were rained during the game about player safety. Now, more questions are being raised about the program's legitimacy, even by the state's governor.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine released a statement Tuesday afternoon, calling upon the Ohio Department of Education to investigate.
“Like many Ohioans, I am concerned by the recent reports and questions raised about Bishop Sycamore. While this weekend’s football game brought concerns about the health and safety of players, it also raised red flags about the school’s operations. Schools like Bishop Sycamore have an obligation under Ohio law to meet certain minimum standards. Whether Bishop Sycamore meets these standards is not clear.

I don't know anything about Columbus. I'll defer to you Ohio guys but isn't Moeller in Cincinnati the high school that says they will play any high school in America in football?

Ah. Ok.
So, I assume you two played against each other as kids and through high school?
