"I am convinced of it. This FSU team can not be beaten."

Welp, there's the death knell to FSU's hopes to repeat...

66% of FSU's team has never lost a college game...we're younger than you might think.

Sigh - if only FSU had done the right thing and suspended Jameis for no fucking reason at all - http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/ ... y-concerns
The autograph authentication company that has certified more than 1,000 jerseys, photos, mini helmets and other items as bearing the valid signature of Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston received the items only after an initial authentication firm rejected the job because of concerns about their legitimacy
(Devonta) Freeman, through his agent Tony Fleming, acknowledged to "Outside the Lines" that the running back did a signing with Burkhalter after his eligibility expired and confirmed that Burkhalter wanted Freeman to approach Winston earlier in the year, which he did. But Fleming said that his client said Winston told him no, and that's where his involvement ended.
Burkhalter and some of the wholesalers of the signing had set up a couple of rooms full of Florida State gear for Winston to sign when he arrived.

But Winston didn't show up, sources said.

Burkhalter denies that much of this happened. He told "Outside the Lines" that he has gotten items signed by Winston but has never compensated him.
So it looks like this Burkhalter guy was the source of the items found on the James Spence website that got ESPN all in a tizzy, but it also looks like he faked the damned things. He told a bunch of people that Winston was going to show up to sign thousands of items, Winston had already told him no and therefore didn't show up, and he disappears with the items and mysteriously shows up a few hours later with them signed. "Those who had invested in the signing were very suspicious".
The other, Ron Keurajian, a Baseball Hall of Fame autograph specialist, said that in his opinion "these Winston autographs from the supposed signing are done by more than one hand. His authentic signature is very unstructured, which makes it harder to authenticate, but there are many here that actually are structured very well."
You want to know why they're unstructured? Because when Winston does actually sign things for fans, he shows up hours before an event and stays late until every fan has been taken care of, signing as many items as he can, as quickly as he can. I don't know if he's ever been paid for a signing or not, but ESPN (and particularly Darren Rovell) crucified Winston and FSU for absolutely nothing here. And after weeks of investigation (and BEGGING *ANYONE* to come forward saying they've paid Winston), the best they can do is, "oops, my bad".

As the Turk said to Michael Corleone at the Italian Restaurant in the Bronx, "I'm not that clever."

We can't beat you. So don't shoot me.

Prayers for full recovery for the victims of the shooting at the FSU library early this morning. And kudos to the recently maligned FSU and Tally PDs for their unbelievably fast response and taking the mother fucker out.

And fuck ESPN, whose little cub campus reporter bitch Tweets "reported gunman on FSU campus. Maybe he is headed for Jameis". And fuck the New York Times, who hosted an article about the shooting but had to include this statement:
The university, one of the largest in Florida, has about 40,000 students enrolled in 16 colleges spread across Tallahassee, the state capital. The university has recently drawn criticism after reports that athletes on its football team, a contender for this year’s national collegiate championship, had received preferential treatment from the police in criminal matters.

The cub campus reporter is a student at Bama. She is now saying she was hacked, which is the only funny joke she has made.

"FSUPD chief said the first call came from library at 12:25 a.m. By 12:27 a.m. the gunman was dead."

That's truly remarkable. And it wasn't just that a single officer was stationed in the library or happened to be there. The TPD reports that he was confronted outside the library by both TPD and FSUPD officers.

After the VT massacre, the library was remodeled to require a valid FSU ID to gain electronic entry into the main part of the library so he never made it past the lobby.

I have a real bad feeling about playing Georgia Tech in the ACCCG (thanks, Duke). If we make it past BC and UF, the Jackets will knock us out of the playoffs. Mark it down.

The NYTimes has been relentless in their criticism of FSU/Winston/Fisher, but their latest piece is extremely damning. I must say I am absolutely embarrassed to be an alumnus of a university that doesn't grill its coach during his weekly call-in show. I remember listening to Coach Saban's show a few years ago when caller after caller asked him about his daughter's supposed nude photos leaking. And Steve Spurrier could not escape the Tank Black accusations in his show. And how could I forget Coach Fulmer's fans lamenting the fact that he might never win another Fulmer Cup?

Yes, NYTimes, you have truly hit a home run with this scathing expose' - only click this link if you want to be disgusted. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/22/sport ... tions.html
