Didn’t say anything about VT.
Just stating a fact. And, of course, UVa did the bulk of the lifting in this winless streak…..

Not having Brian Anderson at center killed us at key junctures. There were obvious communication issues as evidenced by blown assignments in the middle of the line.
It was a perfect storm for VT. Sam threw "three" interceptions but only one -- the INT on the final drive -- was his fault. VT scored early, and between the excitement of the moment and youth, the team panicked for a bit. They did compose themselves.
Not having Beau Corrales hurt.
Howell overthrew Walston on a throw Howell makes 99.999% of the time, and the same thing on the under throw to Simmons in the end zone on the same drive. Sam fucked up a couple of RPO's by trying to be a hero and those screw up's led to sacks at crucial junctures.
The defense settled down and did it's job after the first quarter, but the offense wasn't quite there. I think the line will be much improved if they stay healthy and get Anderson back, but the receiver situation outside of Downs does concern me. Not having Corrales for most -- if not all -- of the season will be an issue.
I think we will be fine at RB, and I am pissed Howell got away from the run early by trying to take everything on his shoulders.
I know why we didn't go for it on 4th and 2 from our own 33, but I still think that we should have gone for it.
