I think Brady was fine winning another conference championship and playing fantastic in his 5th Super Bowl.

I know right. I mean Joe Montanna played his entire career in SF. Brett Farve played his entire career in GB also. I mean, WTF would anybody in their right mind even think about doing something like that.

I almost believe you're dumb enough that you don't understand why.
The Colts will part ways with Peyton and it's the biggest story in the NFL this season -- so big that it practically overshadowed the Super Bowl. Peyton Manning's name was mentioned more during SB week than that of Tom Brady, who was actually playing in the big game. And you know why? Hmmm???
Peyton > Brady

The game was on his home field you dumb goober. It would have been just another story if the game was in LA or Houston or Tampa.

Peyton > Brady
Because Purrty was classless enough to release a press release about his health, trying to upstage his little brother.
he knew he was about to get surpassed by Eli, and he wanted to maintain the spotlight as long as he can.

Yep. Irsay tried to keep the hype to a minimum but the Pey Pey media machine wouldn't let up. Sad really. It should have been Elis stage.

And if I recall from somewhere, his interview that he did on ESPN was mandatory I believe through Gatorade (fucking Gators again) and was obligated to speak and such. After that interview, I believe he tried to stay off television and newspapers interviews. I could be wrong on that though BUT remember, a lot of this is done through his agent. Now wheter Peyton KNEW his agent was doing it or not, is a different story.
If you are going to hate, at least hate it with facts.

Peyton is a control freak. He knows exactly what it going on at all times.

agreed
peyton controlled the press release that his surgeon cleared him
peyton controlled the fact he would play ofor incentives
but irsay and the press backed him into a corner
remember all the bull shit for 2 weeks leading up to the superbowl that peyton was retiring. enough was enough I think peyton was forced to release his surgeons opinion and the gatorade interview info ---the retirement stuff was just too far from the truth and with all the press and other teams i n town he had no choice but to set the record straight. irsay then dropped the politician statement after he set the record straight which was stupid unless hes setting up for peytons release

We've been looking for a quality backup in case Dalton goes down. That might work.
