wait all you want. Was the man drunk or high? I don't think he was doing this was because he was black. Likely, he was doing this because he was under the influence.
Given your tequila stumble comment, I see we are in agreement.

I think the SEC realizes that the NCAA is on the verge of imploding because the one moneymaker the NCAA has is college basketball, and college basketball is losing importance and relevance by the day. CBB as we know it will not exist in 10-15 years. Obviously, the NFL cannot or will not create a farm system and the nation loves CFB. So, the SEC is positioning itself to be one of the main players when all that is left -- of note in the media -- are the P5 CFB schools.
I think the ACC will either add Notre Dame and a few other schools (probably from the B12's remains) or implode in the next few years.

Supposedly Texas is going to inform the Big 12 it will not renew its contract. Oklahoma will follow.

We will have four major conferences with 16+ teams, a 8-12 team CFP with the four major conference winners guaranteed a spot, the highest ranked G5 conference winner guaranteed a spot if ranked above a certain number, and then 3-8 at large spots.

Someone has already suggested the SEC will go to 4 divisions with Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky and Vandy being in one of them which is horseshit. Why not Kentucky, Tennessee, Vandy and Mizzou

You'd still never win that division...

How hard is it to exclude an existing school when renewal comes around? I would think that the SEC wouldn't mind jettisoning a few lesser schools like Vanderbilt, KY, TN, and A&M to bring on power schools from other conferences.

When Delaney (Carolina grad, played for Coach Smith, part of Coach Smith’s ‘69 class that won the ACC regular season and tournament championships and went to the final four in each of their three varsity seasons) was running the Big10, he constantly made overtures fo Carolina. In fact, had the ACC imploded when the last big reshuffle happened, Carolina would have gone to the Big 10 (academic image reasons) because the powers running the school definitely wanted to take that route if forced.
Now, I still think Carolina would end up in the Big 10 with Dook, Notre Dame and UVa to create an 18 team league, but I’m not as certain as I once was. If the ACC imploded, the Board of Governors (oversees the entire system) may make Carolina work with State to be a package deal. The BOG is headed by a big State supporter who doesn’t even have a college degree, and the entire BOG is beholden to the NCGOP / GOP controlled legislature, a group that does its utmost to avoid looking like it is associated with academia. So, they may be ok with the SEC, and the SEC is more likely to accept NCSU than the Big10 if I had to guess. Dook would be a hold up for obvious reasons, and to a lesser degree UVa would be a hold up due to long standing connections.
I think VT gets fucked if a major realignment happens with the ACC, and that makes me happy.

The old ACC was perfect in terms of rivalry/competition. You had 3/4 (pre-FSU) or 2/3 (post-FSU) of the teams within relatively easy driving distances (the furthest being Clemson to UVa…probably 6-7 hours) and four of those all within 15-90 minutes driving time from each other.
Jefferson Pilot / Raycom broadcasts were so shitty you loved them though.

I'd like to see us go to 16. Fuck these divisions. Split North and South
North
- BC
- Syracuse
- VPI
- UVa
- Louisville
- Pittsburgh
- Notre Dame
- Navy
South
- FSU
- Miami
- UNC
- NC State
- Wake
- Dook
- Clemson
- G-Tech
Tell Notre Dame to shit or get off the pot. If they refuse to join, tell them for their World War II obligation to the federal government saving their ass when their enrollment dropped to nothing in the early 40s, that the ACC is admitting Annapolis as the 16th and final member (albeit, the fed does NOT get an equal share of revenue). The government would agree to those terms. If the Irish still say no (they will) then boot them for all the other sports. They get nothing, ZERO. They are out of the ACC completely and Navy's admission is rescinded. Tell them to grovel to the B1G-T(14)N but we are done being the battered wife in the trailer welcoming the drunk home every night.
If Notre Dame says that they need to maintain their traditional rivalries explain to them that the ACC is accomplishing that very thing. 7 games against the North (including Navy, BC, & Pitt), 1 game vs a South team, USC, Stanford, Michigan, and anyone else they want to play. That's 12. What is their bitch?
