Telep blogs on entitlement culture of today's elite HS players. Of course, Telep and his employer, ESPN, are a big part of that sense of entitlement. Still, it kind of makes you wonder how much fun next year is going to be in Lexington.

We always stop in Columbia for the night on our way to HHI. Fun town.

Now, granted, there are still plenty of good guys. Players like Marcus Smart and Jabari Parker care about winning, play a team game and respect those around them. There’s no stress in watching them perform because you know they are driven by the right motivations and respect the game’s principles on and off the court.

This is such absolute blew devil* propaganda bullshit! Yes, Marcus Smart decided to return to school for his sophomore season at Oklahoma State, eschewing guaranteed millions next years. But what the hell does that have to do with the latest dookie that ESPN will hype to the hilt? How do they know he's not going to be one-and-done, like Luol Deng and Kyrie Irving? Why does going to dook* instead of say, Carolina or Kentucky, means he values winning and team play more than other players? Marvin Williams was one-and-done and has a National Championship ring. Calipari can claim a trio of freshmen who gelled and took home the title. And they wonder why everyone hates those SOB's.

yes, ultimately it comes down to whether or not they can win, not if they're assholes or not

Good point on Rivers, e. I'd forgotten all about that selfish prick. I bet the Hornets/Pelicans wish they had, too.

Well, e, Ashley Judd is getting on up there in age. Y'all need someone to compete with Brooklyn Decker.

Telep was hyping Jabari Parker because he's good and his Mormon roots keep him grounded so he doesn't nut up like the rest of these jackasses. The Duke thing is ancillary.

Can't stand Taylor Swift and Ashley has fallen off big, of late, but if I could do them both at the same time I'd get over my issues.

I could see where an Eastern North Carolinian would feel right at home in Columbia...
