I told my meatballs the day it happened. Step back, take a breath & give it 24 hours until you start believing anything. First reports had 12 dead with 7 other bombs still out there. Same with the pic. I still think it was stuck under the bleachers & that the bag next to the mailbox was not the bomb. eCat put it best earlier. I too want the people who built that mailbox next to the supposed bomb to build my house as well.

Haven't seen it yet. Still don't think that's the bag in question. No one just drops a bag over a barricade in front of a few hundred, walks away & nobody says anything. The place was just swept an hour ago.

I dont think anybody hasa seen that video except law enforcement. CNN hasnt backed off the statement yet that there's been an arrest. they even said the suspect was on his way to federal courthouse to be booked--which sounds kind of strange

CNN just fucked up

went with airtight arrest the guy's at fed court to no arrest but they do have the photo just not an Identification

so now the guy knows they have his picture off that video.

"Hold'Em Back Roy"

In terms of top-5 recruits, Duke has had the following since 2003:
Deng (1 year), McRoberts (2), Irving (1), Rivers (1)

UNC has had the folloiwng top-5 recruits since 2003:
Hansbrough (4 years), Wright (1), Lawson (3), Henson (3), Barnes (2), McAdoo (3).

Duke has had only one top-5 recruit stay more than one year and all were gone after two years. UNC has had only 1 top-5 recruit leave after one year, and only 2 that left within 2 years. UNC has had FOUR top-5 recruits stay until their junior year or beyond in the last ten years.

From Dukeblueforever:

Here's all the guys ranked in the Top 5 of the RSCI since Roy came to UNC. Those that stayed multiple years are bolded. The underlined/italicized names are those that are uncertain regarding leaving...notice the trend.

LEBRON JAMES

LUOL DENG

SHANNON BROWN (MSU...3 YEARS)

NDUDI EBI

KENDRICK PERKINS

DWIGHT HOWARD

SHAUN LIVINGTON

AL JEFFERSON

JOSH SMITH

RUDY GAY (UCONN...2 YEARS)

JOSH MCROBERTS (DUKE...2 YEARS)

MONTA ELLIS

MARTELL WEBSTER

TYLER HANSBROUGH (UNC...4 YEARS)

GREG ODEN

KEVIN DURANT

BRANDAN WRIGHT

SPENCER HAWES

TY LAWSON (UNC...3 YEARS)

O.J. MAYO

KEVIN LOVE

ERIC GORDON

MICHAEL BEASLEY

DERRICK ROSE

BRANDON JENNINGS

JRUE HOLIDAY

TYREKE EVANS

SAMARDO SAMUELS (LOUISVILLE...2 YEARS)

DEMAR DEROZAN

DERRICK FAVORS

JOHN WALL

DEMARCUS COUSINS

AVERY BRADLEY

JOHN HENSON (UNC...3 YEARS)

HARRISON BARNES (UNC...2 YEARS)

JARED SULLINGER (OHIO STATE...2 YEARS)

KYRIE IRVING

BRANDON KNIGHT

TOBIAS HARRIS

ANTHONY DAVIS

AUSTIN RIVERS

MICHAEL GILCHRIST

BRADLEY BEAL

QUINCY MILLER

SHABAZZ MUHAMMAD

NERLENS NOEL

KYLE ANDERSON

ISAIAH AUSTIN

STEVEN ADAMS

THAT'S NINE TOTAL PLAYERS IN A DECADE...and maybe 11 if Anderson and Austin stay.

Out of that 9, here are how it breaks down school wise:

MSU-1
LOUISVILLE - 1
OHIO STATE - 1
UCONN - 1
DUKE - 1
UNC - 4

Let's break this down a few different ways:

1. UNC IS THE ONLY PROGRAM IN THE NATION THAT HAS HAD MULTIPLE TOP 5 PLAYERS STAY MULTIPLE YEARS IN THE PAST DECADE.

2. UNC HAS HAD 4x MORE TOP 5 PLAYERS STAY MULTIPLE YEARS THAN ANY OTHER PROGRAM IN THE LAST DECADE.

3. ONLY 4 TOP 5 PLAYERS HAVE STAYED AT LEAST 3 YEARS IN THE LAST DECADE. UNC HAS 3 OF THOSE 4.

From Dukeblueforever (again)

Below is a list of the 3 most highly-ranked RETURNING college players based on their high school RSCI ranking in the last 10 years, which is the span of Roy's tenure at UNC. This is INSANE! Feel free to do some fact checking, because I'm going to put all of this as well as some of the other stats I've compiled in these threads and the one from earlier this season in an article...gotta spread it to the world pirate. Tar Heel players are in bold

2003-04 - Kevin Torbert (2) Raymond Felton (3), Rashad McCants (4)

2004-05 - Raymond Felton (3), Shannon Brown (3), Rashad McCants (4)

2005-06 - Shannon Brown (3), Rudy Gay (5), Jason Frazer (6)

2006-07 - Josh McRoberts (1), Tyler Hansbrough (4), Julian Wright (6)

2007-08 - Ty Lawson (5), Tyler Hansbrough (4), Richard Hendrix (7)

2008-09 - Ty Lawson (5), Tyler Hansbrough (4), Kyle Singler (6)

2009-10 - Samardo Samuels (4), Kyle Singler (6), Greg Monroe (6)

2010-11 - John Henson (5), Kyle Singler (6), Renardo Sidney (7)

2011-12 - Harrison Barnes (1), Jared Sullinger (2), John Henson (5)

2012-13 - James McAdoo (6), Kenny Boynton (9), LeBryan Nash (8)

Some observations
1. In 8 out of the last 10 seasons, UNC has had at least one of the three highest-ranked returning college players.
2. In half of the last 10 seasons, UNC has had two of the three highest-ranked returning college players. No other team has had even 1 season with two of the three highest...and UNC has had 5.
3. In 6 of the last 10 seasons, UNC has had THE highest-ranked returning college player.

From FivePointPlay, based on the above post

Another way to break it down--a full 43% of the highest rated players (as you've defined it) to come back in the past 10 yrs have been UNC players.

From TheUltimateLord, based on two posts up

And if you just look at Top 5 talent, i.e. the most NBA ready, Roy has kept 12 out of 20 individual seasons... so 60 percent of the ENTIRE of college basketball.

I'm sure some UNC faithful has disputed those facts but that label is going to start sticking on Roy

You can go back way further than that and find more. Stackhouse, Carter, Jamison, Rasheed. We can't help it if players actually love UNC and want to be part of the program and the fambly. UK fans and players will never have that and are probably incapable of understanding it. UK is a meat market, look at how the fans turned on this year's crop of freshmen. It's win now or we hate you. And even if they do achieve some success, they're gone as soon as possible. Of course, I can understand why UK players are ready to leave that shithole as soon as possible...

so you are a top 5 pro pick but you give it up to play another year of college

that really is stupid is'nt it?

I mean if you are at the pinnacle you really have nothing to gain staying in college

and a lot to potentially lose
