According BPD, the NY Post story about someone in custody is not accurate.

this is absurd

Karl Towns - The 2014 UK commit is playing for the World Team, and during warm-ups today, hit 17 of 24 threes from behind the NBA three-point line. He also measured 7’0″ tall with a ridiculous 7’3.5″ inch wingspan.

Reggie Bullock declares. I wish him well. He could have a decent career as an 3 point specialist in the NBA. At worst he'll thrive overseas. Hopefully Wiggins will see this as opening up an even bigger spot for him. Roy is on the way up to see Wiggins. I hope he tells him he can stay in the game for 40 minutes or until he fouls out, whichever comes first...

if it was foreign they would have claimed responsiblity by now.

agree with AA--this was the week of oklahoma and waco wasnt it. somebody decided patriot day was the day to be a (sic) pattiot in his own warped mind.

The method with no martyrs doesn't fit Middle East. However the target doesn't fit right wing nutjob, they usually have more logic involved in the target, not just decide to blow people up.

Maybe it was a left wing nut job.

all I know is a bigger tragedy had to replace Newtown to move the country thinking in a different direction. Gun control will now go quietly into the night. How is that for tin foil hat thinking?

Maybe the timing of the Boston Marathon was just a bad coincidence and itself a martyr for the greater good (in the eyes of the bomber)

Waco, OKC, Columbine, VaTech now this. I think that covers April 15, 16, 19, 20. April 17th and 18th seem to be the only days open.

I saw the guy on the roof pics:

There was patio furniture up there and apparently people go to rooftops to watch the race (and smoke marijauna).
If he was up there to watch his explosion, he's on the wrong side of the street to see it.

in an age of atm cameras, street camera, cell phone and of course the actual coverage of the race from the media, I can't believe the person or people responsible for this isn't on video somewhere.

They very likely are...it's just a matter of paying attention to that footage. Someone call in Bunk and McNulty.

Today is the 70th anniversary of Albert Hofmann accidentally (although some might say there are no accidents) got LSD on his fingers and knew something was up. Three days later (April 19th), he deliberately ingested what he supposed to be an infinitesimally small dose (he was going to work his way up from, basically, zero, until he discovered the effective dosage, but he miscalculated) and had to ride his bike home from the lab. April 19th is therefor known as Bicycle Day amongst the faithful...

eCat,

I agree. It's very likely that the bomber was filmed. I just have no reason to suspect roof guy more than anyone else I've seen in the videos.

As always, your mileage may vary.
