Its not just the alligator, I read a report saying they have virtually wiped out the small mammal species - 90% of racoons, opossums, foxes, etc. are now gone from the everglades.

You can't just be sitting around letting pythons creep up on you. I mean to allow a python to creep up on you in the wild means that you just ain't paying attention. I could see an aligator, given that they both hang out in the water quite a bit, but decent sized mammals like foxes?

What the hell are they doing, taking a nap?

Those animals are not used to having the constrictor snakes in their ecosystem. They are not afraid of the constrictors like the creatures in the areas where these snakes originate. Since the snakes are only recently introduced, a natural fear of the snakes hasn't developed.

I just bought a case of Thin Mints yesterday. $42 for 12 boxes. I'll probably have to re-up before mid-March

I"m willing to bet that he thought he did nothing wrong, and on the surface, renting a car and apartment to someone in return for cash payments isn't against the law (as least not the level of felony they are putting on him).

I'm interested to see how that plays out.

First Mad Men, now this. Why couldn't have I been a boss in the 60's. Instead, now a days, we can't even look at interns without a lawsuit...

Kennedy was Don Draper, not Dick Whitman, though.

so I have a bit of a moral delimma.

We were out looking at kitchen displays last weekend and ran across a deal on a high end refrigerator. It was a customer return and they had it marked down.

Now this is a hoss, like 29 cubic foot, 3 foot wide, 3 foot deep - they had to take this bitch apart to get it in my house. We have it temporarily stored in our dining room. It will not fit thru a 36" door way. Anyway, its fucked up and not working correctly, so I''m looking over the receipt and its says within 7 days of purchase they'll replace it if it has a manufacturing defect.

So I call the store up and the guy is like - no way, it was a customer return and we're not giving you a replacement. We'll fix it for you. The guy was nice enough, just adamant that I wasn't getting a new replacement. But the receipt doesn't say shit about exclusions, exceptions, mark downs - nothing - just black and white, within 7 days of purchase replacement, after 7 repair or store discretion.

Now a part of me wants to be a dick about it - they could have plugged this behometh bitch in and recognized immediately it was fucked up, but another part of me is like - they sold you this thing to you at a steep discount and they will fix it for free, at the end of the day it all washes out.

I don't really feel right pushing it but then again, I'm not the one who wrote the policy. You put it out on the showroom floor then there is an inherit assumption on your part that it works.

"Now this is a hoss,"

Loren Green never could say that right. Or rather, he couldn't not say it right, which is just wrong. It's pronounced "Haws", but he pronounced it just like it's spelled. That had to hurt, Hoss's own pappy not being able to pronounce his name correctly...

Fuck that eCat. Take it back. The 7 days isn't up yet. Make sure you make a scan copy of the receipt though before you go back there to talk to the guy and end up shoving it up his nose. A deal is a deal.

But what the hell do you need a fridge that big for anyway? Hiding dead jews?

I'd push for a new one. I imagine they have a deal with the manufacturer anyway, and even if they don't, fuck it, it's Lowes or whoever, one refrigerator, hoss or no, isn't going to affect them...
