Latest mock draft from nbadraft.net Noel #2.... Goodwin #34. Enjoy the D League, son. Only one unc player listed in top 50?? Figured they'd have at least 2 or 3.

Dook wouldn't have won in 2010, if we hadn't shit the bed against West Virginia. That left the door wide open for Ratface.

Its very early in Cal's coaching career of having one and dones but this years team didn't expose the flaw in his system as much as the John Wall /Demarcus Cousins team. On paper that team was unbeatable but (ok well, Demarcus may be a head case but that's another story) they never really addressed their weaknesses, they just played to their strengths which for the most part was enough to beat anyone.

They weren't prepared for a team like WVU because they never had a reason to be. Last years team faced a very good , highly motivated Indiana team in a hostile environment and they were reminded of that loss all year long. With the personalities on that team, it was all they needed to make sure they played at the level they needed to.

This years team was an issue of the pieces not fitting and our point guard literally wilting from the pressure of playing here. You put Teague on this years team and keep Noel healthy and we're an elite 8 team easily.

I think the '12 UK team will be the exception rather than the rule to what Cal is doing. It's really hard to get a bunch of freshman to gel and complete a March/April run for the title, esp. when they're all mostly playing for draft position. The '12 team was special.

Of course, the trade off is that you might only win a title every 6-8 years but you're going to be one of the favorites just about every year (except this year, which is another exception to the rule).

well yea, unless next years team does happen to win the national championship. If they don't , there will actually be some rationale as to why you *shouldn't* stockpile a team with talent (without experience). That might actually work against Cal to some degree but probably more with him facing UK fans than losing recruits to someone else. But as long as we're in the hunt I doubt UK fans will have much to say to Cal.

My theory will be obliterated if Cal wins a couple more titles in the next 3-4 seasons. But I think last year proved it's a viable model, albeit one most schools won't be able to pursue. If next year's team doesn't win, I don't think it means that model is flawed, it just means that it's hard to win a championship and just having the best freshmen doesn't mean you have the team that can win its last 6 games.

And any UK fans who complain about being on the short list to win it all each year are just fools (not that there's no shortage of them in Big Blue Nation, not the former poster).

so Louisville's Men's and Women's team is in the national title game.

Pitino go inducted into the Hall of Fame

His son got hired at Minnesota

and his horse won the San Anita race guaranteeing him a spot in the Kentucky Derby.

You don't get many weeks like this on planet earth if you are Pitino (not that the women's team means shit to him)

Patrick Young announced he's returning for his senior season at Florida. Should put them in the top 5.

Pulling for Michigan tonight. First off I hate Louisville. Pitiner has always been a snake. Plus, when Michigan wins it will only piss off Ohio State fans more which honestly, is why I like Michigan.
