In fact, I thought taciturnity was the hallmark of her character...

Indeed. You're largely correct. I'll amend. Bubba Bexley's smile, Shirley's physical presence.

No, I got it. We're both pulling from the wrong portion of the Norman Lear American Negro Sitcom Character List...

Bookman. Good Times.

trouble. gay looking trouble, at that. I think they photoshopped the 2nd guy to turn him into the 3rd guy with different colored socks.

They sort of look like Corey Maggette.

If they're both as good as Maggette, UK fans will be happy...

" I'll amend. Bubba Bexley's smile, Shirley's physical presence."

That's it...

"No, I got it. We're both pulling from the wrong portion of the Norman Lear American Negro Sitcom Character List. Bookman. Good Times."

Good call, although it could be argued the Bookman is also an amalgam of Shirley and Bubba...

I tried to watch the McD's game and got about 10 minutes into it.

Setting aside Jalen Rose and Jason Williams talking about anything but the game, it was a horrible display of amassed basketball talent. I guess this is the first one I've actually sat down and tried to watch it live. If any perimeter player shot over 30% for the game I'd be amazed.

Never again.

Well, I'll be courtside at the Jordan Classic HS Basketball game at the Barclays Brooklyn in a couple weeks. Maybe I'll just drink and clear up backlogged email.

So, you're saying you watched Alabama play...

my team lost to Robert Freakin Morris in the first round of the NIT with at least 3 future NBA players on the floor. Their lunch budget was more than Robert Morris spends on travel the entire year.

I was hard on Goodwin at the beginning of the year but as the season progressed I came to realize he just plays out of control, which is something to get upset about on a good team. On a team that is half assing their way thru everything they do, its actually a bright spot.

IMO, Goodwin was always playing for himself, not the team. His goal was to get to the NBA after one season no matter how well he performed on the court. TBH, I'm glad he's headed to the pros. Would be a major distraction on next year's team if he had stayed. Just wondering how many kids will actually line up to pay for his autograph session.... should tell the guy something if just a few attend. This team doesn't need any more Archie Goodwin's in the future.
