Nice to see a UF offense that didn't sputter, even if the opposition was weak - both of the previous years they would have struggled to score 30 in a game like this.
Still the OLine did not look dominant, Driskell looked at ease but is not accurate when going deep, agressive defense but young secondary and depth is questionable.
Fat score withstanding they still look like an 8-4 team, er make that 7-4.
They might steal one out of the Bammer-LSU-UGha-FSwho gauntlet but they could easily give one back to Tenny-Mizzou-Caro.

So, that's the word with the Vandal game - just cancel it?

Not a bad showing against a directional school.

The Idaho game has been rendered a 'No Contest'. They both had 0ctober 25 open but playing it then would have made 10 weeks in a row for Idaho and 9 weeks in a row for UF, plus the expenses and hassle of Idaho making another 2700 mile trip. Not worth it for a tomato can game. ID collected their $975K check, UF had an insurance policy to cover ticket refunds,

let's see-

neither team gets a loss - there are no injuries - Fl gets the tickets paid for - Id gets nearly a mil in appearence fees - neither team loses their open weekend

sounds like a win/win to me

For everyone but the fans, and the players wanting to play in a game. Well, and the coaches wanting to work on getting some of the young guys experience.

But other than that....

If UF ends up 5-6, then no bowl game. Can't say I'd be too pumped about a 6-6 bowl team anyway.

The conference should make UF pony up 14/16ths or whatever of what that bowl payout would have been if that happens.

I saw the same team that beat EMU last week.

-An OLine that could only break even against its opposition. Granted UK has upgraded in size, speed and coaching, but they are still below the SEC median
-A QB who has a good short game, but always overthrows the target when going downfield 20 yds or more
-A young secondary that gives up at least one big play for each big play that it delivers.

It was nice to see a bonafide wide receiver consistently get open and make tough catches for the first time in a decade.
Oh and we have a damn good punter - that should help a little bit next week at Bammer.

Yeah. The use of 'Bammer' is HI-Larious!!!!

It's as funny as saying GayTurds!!!!111

Only simpletons and children use those terms more than once.

Yes, Bammer is a time-honored piece of the forums' lexicon to name a certain team. It contains no playground potty mouth words or juvenile innuendo, but some folks seem to take irritation or offense to it, oh well.

It's juvenile and bereft of any cleverness or humor. It's an idiot's meme that only the most Natty Ice-drinking inbreds would use.

Oh well, indeed.

Grey and I didn't know each other back in 1979 (not that we really do now either) when we were in what would become The Swamp and we witnessed Kentucky beating the Mighty Gators. Man am I glad Kentucky did not win last night! Its likely gonna be tough cheering for the Gators this season, but I will and a win is a win! Very glad that it is well known that the biggest improvement is between game 2 and game 3. That's the rule, isn't it? Go Gators and Beat Alabama.

When you think Alabama/Florida just look back a few days to Atlanta/Tampa Bay. It's gonna be that ugly.
