Firehouse cant seem to keep a store open around here. Good subs but pricy. Penn Station is only gift card worthy. I grew up with Subway but they are disappearing too. Nothing beats a Blue Ash Chili double decker though. That's stomach crack.

I doubt I've eaten at a fast food joint a dozen times this century (not to say you don't sometimes get shitty food at "real" restaurants). I'm still overweight, but if I was eating at all these places like you guys are talking about, I'd weigh 300 lbs...

I really should try to put some effort into the economics of eating well.

I wonder if it really does cost more if you are eating well at home versus eating out at fast food.

Used to be you could grab a $5 lunch - and you still can but to get a decent lunch - even fast food, you're going to be in to at least $8 now.

That sandwich I posted was 7 bucks. If ya ate the whole thing you'd be napping on your desk by 2. Thus the other half is dinner. 7 bucks. Full. Even though Arbys has the meats they can't beat that.

I pretty much just get cheese steak or roast beef at Jersey Mike's, although I can only afford to eat there 2-3 times a year.

Never been to Firehouse and don't go to Subway or Jimmy John's. I would go to Togo's for hot pastrami but I think they're only in California.

The only fast food I eat on close to a regular basis, not counting cheap Chinese takeout, is Cook Out but that's because I can get enough for the whole family for $15 or less

I want to like Firehouse, but I just don't...something about them just doesn't taste right...

I do like Jimmy John's, but much prefer Lenny's or McAlister's (are they both regional?)...

You always get the baked potato at a place you never go? Yes you have no bananas?
