Heh. You are as bizarre a leftie as IB is a rightie. Call the nurse and tell her it's time to up your meds.

Still waiting for to name a few hospitals, health care clinics, schools and orphanages for the poor founded and operated by atheists. Good luck.

While you're at it, please explain why the atheist Josef Stalin murdered millions of people, the atheist Chairman Mao murdered millions of people, and Pol Pot killied millions of people - all in the past century - yet you consider atheism to be enlightened.

LMAO. You are an inverted IB loon.

There have been many atheists who do good works. They do not do these things as an atheist, they do them as a human.

For the last several thousand years, atheism doesn't play too well with the people in power or the people who vote you to power.

Barack Obama wins Florida.

Barack Obama wins the popular vote.

Barack Obama wins the Electoral College vote going away.

Barack Obama is the first Democrat to get 50+% of the popular vote in back-to-back presidential elections since Truman.

GOP: "Barack Obama is the most unpopular President since Jimmy Carter and has no mandate."

I think the GOP should go "all in" and run a Paul Ryan/Michelle Bachmann ticket next time.

It wouldn't matter if they ran God and Jesus Christ. They still wouldn't get the homos, hos, negroes, illegals or the dead.

God is a New Deal Democrat (he provided manna and quail to the slackers in the wilderness).
16 Then the whole community of Israel set out from Elim and journeyed into the wilderness of Sin,[a] between Elim and Mount Sinai. They arrived there on the fifteenth day of the second month, one month after leaving the land of Egypt. 2 There, too, the whole community of Israel complained about Moses and Aaron.

3 “If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned. “There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.”

4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions. 5 On the sixth day they will gather food, and when they prepare it, there will be twice as much as usual.”

6 So Moses and Aaron said to all the people of Israel, “By evening you will realize it was the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt. 7 In the morning you will see the glory of the Lord, because he has heard your complaints, which are against him, not against us. What have we done that you should complain about us?” 8 Then Moses added, “The Lord will give you meat to eat in the evening and bread to satisfy you in the morning, for he has heard all your complaints against him. What have we done? Yes, your complaints are against the Lord, not against us.”
Jesus is a Communist (the early church members held everything in common and provided for each according to their needs).
42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.

43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.

You need to read Timothy I think, if they are too sorry to work they are too sorry to eat. (paraphrasing). Jesus did not condone lazyness nor did he condone giving things to lazy people.

He did preach helping your fellow man, a hand up not a hand out.

This is a surprising post-election tidbit:

Former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson won 1.1 million votes on Tuesday, more than any other Libertarian presidential candidate in history.

swampland.time.com/2012/11/09/qa-gary-johnson-on-his-failed-presidential-bid-and-whats-next/#ixzz2Bv7IMoAC

If you want to know where went those 3+ million R voters that voted for McCain in 2008, but not Romney in 2012, this is a good place to start looking.

If the R's want to expand their base, the libertarians are a good place to start courting. They are already ideological neighbors. But to do that, the R's would have to start acting on the smaller, cheaper, decentralized, and more Constitutionally-based government philosophy to which they now largely pay lip service.

Right on cue. And shockingly, from the journal of the R Establishment, NRO:
Somehow, Romney managed to pull nearly 2 million fewer votes than John McCain, one of the weakest Republican nominees ever, and one who ran in a cycle when the party had sunk to historic depths of unpopularity. How to explain that?

The brute fact is: There are many people in the country who believe it makes no difference which party wins these elections. Obama Democrats are the hard Left, but Washington’s Republican establishment is progressive, not conservative. This has solidified statism as the bipartisan mainstream. Republicans may want to run Leviathan — many are actually perfectly happy in the minority — but they have no real interest in dismantling Leviathan. They are simply not about transferring power out of Washington, not in a material way.

Republicans talk about limited central government, but they do not believe in it — or, if they do, they lack confidence that they can explain its benefits compellingly. They’ve bought the Democrats’ core conceit that the modern world is just too complicated for ordinary people to make their way without bureaucratic instruction. They look at a money-hemorrhaging disaster like Medicare, whose unsustainability is precisely caused by the intrusion of government, and they say, “Let’s preserve it — in fact, let’s make its preservation the centerpiece of our campaign.”

The calculation is straightforward: Republicans lack the courage to argue from conviction that health care would work better without federal mandates and control — that safety nets are best designed by the states, the people, and local conditions, not Washington diktat.

That is why those running the party today, when they ran Washington during the Bush years, orchestrated an expansion of government size, scope, and spending that would still boggle the mind had Obama not come along... No matter what they say in campaigns, today’s Republicans are champions of massive, centralized government. They just think it needs to be run smarter — as if the problem were not human nature and the nature of government, but just that we haven’t quite gotten the org-chart right yet.

"Still waiting for to name a few hospitals, health care clinics, schools and orphanages for the poor founded and operated by atheists. Good luck. "

Pretty much every one that doesn't overtly tout itself as a church-based organization. Like AA said, they just don't tout it as such. Try again...

I guess I don't even need to ask if you watched even one of those videos I posted. It's easier to live in ignorance than to even attempt to educate yourself when you know you're not going to like what you find...

Finally, pretty much everything that was said in that NR article you posted is why I don't vote for repubs. There's no difference b/w them and the dems in terms of spending and size of government, but at least the dems don't lie about it. If any mainstream repub really attempted to do what they claimed they would do (besides Ron Paul, who I like), I'd vote for them. But they don't. They are all a bunch of craven liars, but the repubs are even worse than the dems...

Watch those videos, I'd enjoy talking to you about them...
