So much for the SEC having a down year.

And agreed about the Bungles. They'll just promote Gunther instead of going out of house. I'd take Del Rio.

I think Del Rio is our best option, but does he have enough clout to tell Brown how its going to be or will he just be desperate enough to give back power to the Brown family that Lewis wrestled away?

At this point I'd opt to blow up the team - keep Green, Dunlop, a handful of linemen, maybe Kirkpatrick. Send Dalton, Burfict, Jones and the rest of them packing. I know that won't be done of course but at our ceiling we are a 9 win team. We don't have the personnel to beat Pittsburgh and we lose too many games to teams like Houston.

The retread John Fox is out there looking. In fact, it would be funny if Chicago and Cincinnati end up just switching coaches.

Let the calls for an eight team playoff begin!

The best team in the SEC lost to Clemson and Central Florida.

Auburn was the best team in the SEC on November 11 and 25. We've pretty much sucked since then.

I don't dislike him, but lately he takes as much off the table as he puts on - you can't get a full season out of him , and since you never know when he is going to go off and get suspended you can't count on him for the big games.

He changes the whole dynamic of the defense. He stays.

I was surprised to hear it

The reality is they had no better replacement options

The Bungles owners obviously don’t care about winning. They are using their NFL franchise as a tax write off.

so Lane Kiffin is just dumping on Saban

saying stuff like the reason he got yelled at in the 4th quarter of a game where they were ahead by 20 is the camera showed him next to Saban and someone told Saban he looked short (into his headset on the sideline)

I have always liked Kiffin. I find him funny. The thing he needs to understand is his staid potential bosses probably don't have the same sense of humor; this banter can hurt him.

Who said that statement was “banter”?

The point was, AA assumes that Kiffen was joking about Saban’s diminutive stature, and his sensitivity about it.

I was saying Kiffen may not have been joking when he said that. It may have actually happened.

speaking of coaches, Jon Gruden is an idiot.

no way I'd give up a sweet gig, bringing in $2M or so a year just broadcasting an NFL game once a week for 13 weeks and doing some hokey quarterback film break down during the season.
