Agreed. But its no Fisk moment. Baseball is a dying sport. Their average viewer is 54 years old and growing. Bud has fucked over baseballs future for today dollars.

Wow, clever Karl. "Busch stadium, lit up like a diamond." You mean like a baseball diamond. My goodness you are good.

Doubtful. I feel bad for what I did to her. I never should have singled her out with that "Junior" rank tag.

I'm still hopeful that St Louis gets wiped off the map by an earthquake or something.

I grew up living and breathing Cardinal baseball - and this was old school - reading the box scores every day in the paper, listening to the games on the radio, watching the games on Saturday on TV with Joe Garagiola announcing the game and Ted Simmons behind the plate.

I burned out on them though. I really wanted Texas to win this series.

This was the Phillies fault.

If they weren't so intent on sweeping a wheezing and undermanned Braves team in extra innings -and instead had rested some starters - the Cards wouldn't have been there to put the phillies (and everyone else) in the bitch seat.

That said, I don't hate the cards. Much prefer them as champs than the phillies. So, kinda glad about how it worked out.
