Yep you're the moron.

I talked fast food burgers, but offered a one-line that I usually don't buy them out, and cook my own, and you came up with the idiotic assumptions that (1) we have some hard and sacrosanct law about not straying, even microscopically, from the exact topic and that (2) cooking at home as opposed to buying out is 'pretentious'.

It's 100% USDA grade A moronic. So idiotic that I think there is a good chance that someone has hacked your account.

Five Guys is a sham. the burgers are average but they give you more fries than anyone could possibly eat so you're so pleased with having so many fries, not only do you not mind people stealing a few, you're begging them to take more and you don't realize you've been had with the so-so burger

Agreed. And their Cajun fries are horrible. Too much pepper.

Anyway, I just went with What-A-Burger last night. Decent. Nothing out of the ordinary. In other words, not disappointing.

I went go one of the many Mexican restaurants in Bham. The waitstaff, as usual, we're very impressed that I speak Spanish. I hate to brag, but I got free chips and salsa before my meal.
