Watching Hack deal with his Alzheimer's is becoming disturbing.

5 Super Bowls in 10 years.

'nuff said.

Duh.

Only thing that makes sense. If he was 100%, the could play for another 5+ years and they would likely trade the pick and get a lot of help.

Without knowing health its the smart thing to do.

And it will be good for Manning assuming he will be healthy.

So where does he end up? (Hack needs to know so he can figure out who his new favorite team is)

I still say the jets.

And he should sign for the league minimum with the jets promise of getting rid of holmes and getting a couple more WR (Wayne is a FA), and applying rest to team needs. He will make a ton in endorsements in NY anyway.

Don't know if he will do that or not though.

Not sure he would do that either with Eli there. That's his town & Peyton has had his run and made millions off the field. He could go to Washington but every move Washington has made under Snyder has turned out to be a train wreck. Peyton knows this. Chicago would be a great fit if he is 100% healthy (I think he's done in Indy 100% or not come bonus day). Of course Miami would be a good fit. Besides those two I don't see anybody out there needing a QB with playoff potential and I don't see Peyton going to a team not in playoff contention.

To be fair, I think it was someone else who gave you that nickname.

I've said for years that I don't really have a favorite NFL team and that I watch the NFL primarily to see how the former-Vols are doing. The Colts won 3 games the season before they made Peyton the #1 overall pick. So there was no bandwagon to hitch myself to. And despite their success since then, I've always made a point to say that I wasn't a Colts fan, per se. But I can't dispute that I was a de facto Colts fan. And that's because a QB, more than any other position player in football, needs to play for a winner to have his career be considered a success.

So, yeah, I'll pull for whichever team Peyton ends up with. Even more so because it will make the haters crazy when he makes that team better.

If he plays anywhere, it will be:

A. Indoors mostly.

B. Have to have a running game

C. Team that is a contender.

Like I've said, if he is 100% he will be back in Indy, they will go for it over the next 2 years to win another SB and will trade the top pick so they can stockpile stuff for 2 years down the road.

If he isn't 100%, he will play for a contender or hang it up.

Either way, Irsay doesn't owe him another damn dime as far as I am concerned. I want the Colts to win. Period.

"Indoor teams with a running game and is already a contender..."

Saints have a running game and are a contender, but already have their QB.
Atlanta has a running game, is a contender...they think they have their QB (how long is Ryan's contract?)
Texans have a running game, are a contender, already have their QB.
Dallas could have a running game if they'd commit to it, they pretend to be a contender, they think they have their QB.
(both Texans and Cowgirls have retractable roofs, Texans are on grass not synthentic turf)

Detroit has no running game and already has their QB.
Rams aren't contenders and have a young QB.
Vikings aren't contenders and have a young QB.

not really anyone who fits the bill, if it has to be an indoor team. Unless the Falcons give up on Ryan or the Cowgirls give up on Romo...

arizona or washington

outside chance of jets although I dont see manning working with blowhard ryan

denver or kansas city or miami or seattle might fit.

personally for some reason I see hoim going to zona even though kolb has a contract

thats if he can still throw the ball

theres a lot of reports he can't throw it 20 yards yet.

what's KC's contract situation with Cassell and Orton?

whoever does sign Purrty would need to retain a veteran backup with starting experience, since no one knows if his neck can take a hit.

orton was a one and doner

crennel and pAOLI like cassill for some ungodly reason

peyton will probably retire after the superbowl anyway.
