The Michigan guy didn't do himself any favors by slinging his arm out after Zeller flopped. As far as flops go, that was one of the lesser egregious ones I've seen....

okay that was (nodding, not even being remotely over-dramatic) BC's best game of the year

Will that be competing with ESPN's 30 for 30 about NC State's 1983 tourney run? My guess is that maybe half of KY fans will even watch that.

I know we kid around a lot here, but this interview with Rodney Rogers tonight made me pause and reflect on how quickly everything can be taken away from us. Rogers was one of the good guys, too...

Who is that? What's the story?

Rat -- It's former Wake Forest and NBA star, Rodney Rogers. He was paralyzed from the neck down in a three-wheeler accident.

I've told this story before, but I thought I'd share it again for those who haven't heard it. Rodney Rogers played little league baseball against my younger brother back in the early 1980s. There were more than a few whispers (READ: SCREAMS!) that Tee Tot (Rodney's nickname) was too old for that league. Even after he produced his birth certificate, there were still those who could not believe a 10 year old was 6 feet tall and built like a grown man. Anyway, there was a 30 foot screen at Jaycee Field to keep homerun balls from rolling into the creek (which was about 30 feet beyond the fence). There was a lefty on my bro's team who could absolutely bring a fastball close to 80 mph, so needless to say, he was pretty much unhittable. Until Rodney Rogers entered the batter's box. CRACK!!! I swear to you, that ball was still RISING when it went over the screen and over the creek.

Liked Rodney. I was cool with a girl he was dating, but I'm not sure if he married her. He was a really good dude, which is rare when cats play ball for a living.

Rat, Rodney was one of those guys that everybody liked even while he was lighting you up for 30 points. A genuine class act and all around good guy as well as a hell of a basketball player.
