It did help the 35 million....just at the expense of the other 270 million.

"The only way I could afford my insurance with the AFA is to switch to a catestrophic plan ($5000 deductable) straight insurance to protect my family and our assets from medical bankruptcy.

That's it. That's all I've got now."

That's all you need...

I guarantee you its going to effect more than just the 35 million who didn't have insurance....and you know it

I gotta hand it to Obama - people wanted to keep their existing insurance so he made sure they'd line up in droves to drop and go to the shit he is peddling to the masses. I'm sure HR phone lines will be ringing off the hook in the coming weeks with people demanding that their company drop their "expensive" insurance so they can the cheap crap on the insurance exchange. And there is no shortage of people to line up to sing his praises for it. In the current situation, company provided insurance is dead and people better hope that their companies make a decision to supplement their costs on the exchange or Obamacare is going to result in a $7000 +/- pay/perk cut for them.

But thank god the kid that works at Subway now has a tax subsidized plan with a $3000 deductible he'll never meet. Its saving me money on health care already!

They can call all they want. The majority do not have access to the exchanges. They may be able to get to exchanges created in the marketplace unrelated to the ACA though.

Just as you said before, your insurance changes aren't related to the ACA, they are based on a 9% expected increase in health care inflation.

that's is bullshit and you know it. I'm not sure why you insist on trying to sell this concept but whatever - you're credibility is taking a hit on this one.

I think the exchange websites are all crashing but I saw where a woman signed up for a family of 4 to get a $5000 deductible and 60% coverage and is paying $598 a month on a bronze plan.

Have you tried the exchange site yet?

A surprise that the website is crashed? It's not. I suspect I'll be able to get a lower rate than $410, but we'll see...

That's your 9% increase not tied to the ACA.

Last week my truck started acting up, I thought it was the transmission and I was pissed I was going to have to spend $1400 or more to get it fixed. Turns out it was a bad coil and cost me $100 to replace. I was happy to spend the $100.

But I still spent $100 I didn't plan on spending. Funny how that works
