Watch the championship game of the Kenucky Boys HS Tourney from Rupp. LINK. UK supposedly interested in the Hawkins kid from Madison Cental.

Going to put on Zags hat for this tourney, I pretty much roll with whatever Toronto/Canadian based players have the best chance of going deep

Not because of Olynyk either (never even heard of him before this season), Kevin Pangos was a HS stud here but got shyt on for not playing his junior & senior years down south, he's shutting alot of people up right now

Olynyk certainly has the rock star look though

Looks as if Crean has been working on flopping in practice as much as the Dookies do. Had to grin somewhat when McGary barely bumped into Zeller and he went flying across the floor. Definitely a 9.75 on the flop.

So, does Silent Bob play for the Zags too?

I would think that Silent Bob would be more of the manager-type...

I was gone all weekend so I didn't get to see the Florida game. From the recap it looks like Archie Goodwin carried us in the last 10 minutes and WCS was blocking shots with 4 fouls on him.

It will be interesting to see how this team fares on a neutral court. Logic would say that we'd beat Arkansas but lose to Mizzou.

Drink that haterade right up.

Big Ten Champs. Deal with it.

Please, I beg of the tourney to let Kentucky in as 8 seed in IU's bracket. Then if your sorry ass team can beat your opponent, they get the curb stomping they were suppose to have in December.

And I am sure that Teflon Cal runs a clean program, teaches his players the strength in fundamentals, stresses the importance of attending classes, and to not cheat at life.

You are right, we are just awful people compared to Cal.

Absolute classic for the championship game at Rupp yesterday for the boys KHSAA State Championship. Madison Central, trailing by 2 with 9 seconds on the clock, grabbed the inbounds pass from Louisville Ballard and hits a 25 foot jumper with 2 seconds left.

We really didn't play that badly Saturday, except that insofar as shooting poorly is indeed one of the definitions of playing badly. In that regard, we played like ass, but on the defensive end we did some nice things, created some turnovers, etc, but couldn't convert them into points. Likewise, it seemed like Dook didn't miss a shot in the first half, even when defended well. Shit just happens like that sometimes. Pretty demoralizing, yes, but I would not be shocked in the least if the outcome was reversed if we play Dook again on Saturday. They just are not that good. Don't get me wrong, Dook does have some decent talent, good experience and K is a great coach, but this is not one of Dook's better squads by any stretch of the imagination. Clearly this is not one of our better squads, either, but Saturday's result was not a true indication of the relative quality of these two teams. They are definitely better than us, but we can beat them. Now then, if we play them again on Saturday (although I won't be surprised if one or both of us lose on Friday, irregardless of who we play) and we get the same result, I will revise and resubmit. If that happens, we will have clearly taken a huge step backwards and maybe Dook is better than I am thinking with Kelly back. We'll see. Of course, Dook won the NC in 2010 with just about the weakest NC team I can remember since Villanova (UK was clearly far better than Dook that year), so anything can happen, esp. this year...

Good lord, the team that "stole" the inbounds pass nearly turned it over twice before it somehow lucked into that guy's hands for the winning shot. They lucked out, a poor inbounds pass then somehow managed to recover the ball twice after their own guys fumbled it away...

His eerie cackle and grin when he walked away was the most strange, personally.

The kid that fumbled the ball over to the kid that hit the game winning shot is the Hawkins kid that Calipari has been watching all week during the tourney. Average player IMO, but UK needs a 4 year kid on the squad.
