This is the more aggravating World Series I've ever taken an occasional, ho-hum, I really don't give a shit, glance at it. Wake me when a fire breaks out in the dugouts.

"How do you find the courage to keep coming back?"

Courage? What's courage got to do with it?

what percentage of MLB outfielders would have caught Freese's ball in the 9th? I think Cruz is the big-time goat tonight. however, that non-catch of what seemed to be a catchable, albeit well-struck, ball doesn't overshadow one of the greatest WS games ever. The Rangers waited 50 years to blow not one but 2 one-strike-aways. Incredible.

I swear to god if the Cards win this thing I will never forgive the Atlanta Braves.

The Braves don't get the biggest share if the blame. That would be the Phildos because they (a) acted like sweeping the Braves was the most important thing in their world (as opposed to resting starters) and then proceeded to choke in the NLDS.

For all the "courage" they showed last night, they deserve it. Rangers don't want it anyway.

Looking at the highlights, I was thinking the same thing. Cruz looked more concerned with the wall than the ball (which, I kind of understand). A better fielding LF would've been able to keep track of the ball while measuring the wall behind him. Kind of like a QB with pocket presence being able to feel pressure coming while still keeping his eye on his target downfield.

That said, you can't blow two two-run leads with two outs and a chance to win your first ever WS. It all had a Houston Astros/Oilers type of feel to it: failure. Total failure.
