Charlotte screwed up by not hiring Chuck Amato as their first head coach. like him or not CTC would bring recognition and credibility to Charlotte. he is great at building enthusiasm for a program. instead they picked an obscure asst from Wake.
btw the stench from chapel hill is the '9'ers are removing "UNC" from their name. going forward they will be University of Charlotte.

"Charlotte, Stetson, Kennesaw State, and Mercer"
sounds like a typical SEC non-conference schedule....

Wright State's building a football stadium (ok, football field, but still... their football program is having a better year than Ohio State.)

Yeah. He was the one that told everyone that would listen that Jordan would be the first pick in the draft, and I'll be damned if he wasn't right.

Funny how memories like that never fade away. I was in college at The Pub the day he went #1.

Alabama lost 4 players that were first round draft picks in the NFL AND our experienced starting QB: Julio Jones? Gone. Heisman Trophy-winning RB Mark Ingram, LT James Carpenter, and All-Everything DT Marcel Dareus...plus QB Greg McElroy (who is projected to be the Jets #2 QB). All gone.
Even with all the above talent we lost 3 games last year and finished the year ranked 11th.
So far this year, Saban has kicked three potential starters off the team, the #2 RB is lost for the year with an injury, two players transferred early to get PT (that we could use now) and the #3 RB is gimpy.
With all this, they have us ranked #2? Madness.

AggieYell.com, Texas A&M's Rivals site, is reporting that A&M has officially accepted an SEC invite. It's a pay article but the headline is splashed on the front page

They are jumping the gun. The writing is on the wall though, and I would say that it is "imminent" but these guys are just rushing the story.
