Maurice served his time and last I checked the Columbus PD didn't put pressure on the people he mugged to forget and forgive.

Heh - I know you're being facetious but all impartial observers I've seen said the policeman did the right thing and it is not frowned upon - informing the accuser that moving forward against a high profile person with very weak evidence could be traumatic and difficult. In the context of how her attorney worded it, it sounded like a warning but it was advice from experience.

That hasn't just started with Dook. They have been that way for years, even before Cutcliffe. Cutcliffe has made it worse. No one complains about a team being dirty when they're 1-11 though...

I don't ever recall having issues with Duke before. Cutcliffe was pissy last year too because he said our Strength and Conditioning coach was a "clown" or "jester" (don't recall which word) - and maybe he is, as he's a jump around, swing the towels to fire up the crowd kinda coach. Fisher has done nothing but praise Cutcliffe before and after the game so it really makes Cutcliffe look like the clown. Our lost decade is over so Duke's chance to beat FSU has passed, just as Wake's has (but at least they took advantage of it).

It's been fun watching Kevi transform from a tentative "we should be pretty good this year, maybe compete for the ACC title" to full-on turkey strut braggadocio (this is not an insult by the way, I really enjoy it). Here is a choice post from early in the season:

" I almost want us to win a close game with Jameis struggling because if he goes out and has a 21-28, 350yd, 3TD performance he'll become even more of a Black Jesus than he is already, and that could be bad. "

Heh - my confidence has definitely grown watching this team. Got burned way too many times during the Lost Decade where we had good talent but still played like crap, and last year we had a very good team but not a special one. Winston really is the difference - EJ Manuel is a guy with talent, great personality, but doesn't seem to be a confidence-inspiring leader. This team believes in itself and has NFL talent at every position (except maybe punter and fullback) - if it goes out and does to Auburn what I think it's going to, I really think it might be an all-timer. Too bad we didn't play in the SEC.
