Free Shoes University fills that role this year.

It's clear that the REC believes FSU will be Bama's opponent in the BCSCG. That's why a serious (and old) allegation against Jameis Winston, who just happens to be the best player on the team that just happens to be on Bama's most likely opponent in the BCSNCG just happens to hit the press in the most critical last few weeks of the season. Like Manti Teo least year.

Except Teo wasn't nearly as good as his hype. If he played for any other school besides ND, nobody would've probably even heard of him. He might not have even been a starter on any top tier SEC team, or in any case, not the featured LB...

I'm guessing aTm is up to this.

It goes beyond Teo...

Don't mess with the REC.

If somehow Bama plays Baylor, films will suddenly appear of Bear players dancing and drinking alcohol. If Bama plays tOSUc, hundreds of tattoo parlor receipts will appear saying "Buckeye Player - No Charge."

The Bilderberg group is a subsidiary of the REC.

Within the next two weeks, various news outlets will publish stories that MississiPPi State boosters tried to pay Nick Marshall to sign with the Bulldogs (which, of course, proves that Auburn is dirty), Tre Mason has a huge gambling debt and threw the LSU game, Ricardo Louis smokes crack, and Gus Malzahn shot JFK.

They'd all be wise to have somebody else taste their food and start their cars in the morning.

Sluggish game littered with four turnovers in a pumped-up away stadium. Players on the sideline used earplugs due to the CLANGA! CLANGA! CLANGA! all night -no joke). We won by 13; honestly - should have won by 40.

Next up the 8-3 UTC Mocs. Ranked #17 in the nation in FCS last week. They lost this week, though, to Samford in OT. We'll win, but it won't be pretty. Expect a 40-14 game or whatever.

Then on to Auburn. Bama and the Tigers have six common opponents. Bama has beaten each of those opponents by a larger margin than Auburn - which means very little, but it's a starting point for discussion.

Auburn's o-line, d-line, wide receivers, and running backs are every bit as good as Bama's. The Tiger's will keep it close, but should fall a bit short. Bama's overall team D and special teams are a touch better, and that's why I like Bama by 3-7 points.

Bama 34, Auburn 31

Fair and cogent. I'd say your WR's are a little better since ours drop passes more often. You have a huge advantage at LB. Our defense is of the "bend but not break" variety, while yours just kicks opponents in the scrotum all over the field. I'd give us a slight edge in special teams.

Bama by 3-7 sounds about right, but this Auburn team appears to be sprinkled with pixie dust that confounds logic. Sorta like 2010 and 2004. I'm not predicting an Auburn win, but it wouldn't shock me.

Besides, if I had to choose between beating either UGA or UA, but not both, I'd pick UGA this year. I'm ecstatic already.

Special Teams:
Auburn allows an average of 4.0 yards per punt return. Bama, 5.3. Slight edge Auburn.
Auburn allows an average 24.10 yards per kickoff return. Bama, 21.5. Slight edge Bama.
Bama has blocked two kicks. Auburn, none that I can find. Edge Bama.
Auburn is 13 of 17 in FGs. Bama is 12 of 14. Edge Bama.
Auburn average 42.54 yards per punt. Bama averages 47.3. Edge Bama.
Auburn averages 11.77 yards per punt return. Bama averages 13.55. Slight edge Bama.
Auburn averages 24.93 yards per kickoff return. Bama, 25.64. Slight edge Bama.
Auburn has had 3 TDs in punt/kickoff returns. Bama has also had three. Wash.

Is there a stat I'm leaving out that would give Auburn the edge here?

Auburn is undefeated at home?

The topic was special teams, IB. Just special teams. And it was a question for Prof since he said he would give Auburn a slight advantage in special teams play.

And while Auburn is undefeated at home, 10ac is correct: Bama is undefeated on the road.
