In an accompanying “Background Information” memo, a “uniform board” – made up of enlisted Marines — points the finger squarely at the Dept. of Defense for the new directive.
“The Marine Corps is being “encouraged” by DoD to standardize on a unisex/universal dress and service cap,” the memo reads.
“They went to the trouble of making sure the word ‘encouraged’ was in quotes,” a senior Marine source told The Post. “Clearly it is meant as a dig, to say ‘this isn’t our idea, it’s the Administration’s.’”

I dont care what the hats look like and I dont care who is making the push for the change I just dont believe that now is the time to spend a few million dollars we dont have to spend. I understand that it's less than a drop in the bucket but still.
U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

I agree with taxing hybrids and electrics since they pay little gas tax.

600 million dollars and 3 years for this pile'o shit?

This is the problem with govt. There is no recourse. A company would never have gone live with this, but a company would have got the fuck right 2 years ago and for 30 million dollars because people would fired if they didn't.

The public would completely ignore and force a company out of biz for this debacle, but since its government you are stuck with it and have no recourse.

It's amazing to see so many quotes from people who have sticker shock or are surprised their plans have been deemed not good enough (so much for CHOICE eh?) and how they supported Opramacare, but they didn't think they would be the ones paying for it.

What a bunch of damn idiots. It would be so beautifully laughable if it weren't for the fact that this is about to be entrenched in the fabric of society as the ponzi scheme called SS is.

The journalist Ed Henry asked, "The president, when he was trying to get the law passed, repeatedly said, if you currently have health insurance you will be able to keep your plan. This morning David Axelrod was pressed on that point and said, the majority -- the vast majority -- will be able to keep their plans. He no longer works at the White House. From the podium, will you admit that when president said, if you have a plan, you'll get to keep it, that that was not true?"

After some throat clearing, Carney said, "So it's true there are existing health care plans on the individual market that do not meet those minimum standards and therefore do not qualify for the Affordable Care Act."

lol @ ponzi scheme. And SS is more popular than ever...opramacare can only fantasize about one day being such a hit.

Poll: Soc. Sec. still popular - POLITICO.com http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0911/64766.html

Eight in 10 Americans think Social Security has been good for the country, with 70 percent of young adults agreeing and almost nine in 10 senior citizens saying the same.

Blame whoever you like. The president was correct - people with legitimate health plans can keep them. If a plan doesn't meet the minimum standards of the ACA, then what they have is shite. Some "catastrophic care" plans are barely worth the paper they're written on. And paying 10 dollars a month for discounts on drugs and vitamin supplements is not a health plan.

If a plan doesn't meet the minimum standards of the ACA, like covering preexisting illness, and young people(working part time jobs) paying out the wazoo for the codgers, then what they have is shite

I have a "catastrophic care" plan. It is a $5000 a year annual deductable. With my employer contributrion to my totally shitty plan, my contribution out of my paycheck is $0. There is no way I'll ever reach that $5000 number with annual physicals, a colonoscopy, one very price senstive MRI, or trips to the doc for an anti-biotic prescription. I pay out of pocket for all of that. Basically with my current plan, the only time I am ever actually going to use my health insurance to my financial benefit, is if it is life or death (Cancer, Heart Attack, Car Accident, etc) something WAY BEYOND $5000 in a year.

You are a liberal so your position on this makes perfect sense. Of course liberals and leftists want to do everything they can to discourage "catastrophic care" plans. Of course you have to shit on this. You have to because "catastrophic care" plans do not help the ACA because there isn't enough profit in them to pump enough money into the risk pool to justify lowering the cost for old people who DO use their health insurance. For young people, getting a "catastrophic care" plan is exactly what they should have (cheapo) because they aren't going to the doctor. But the President and liberals like you (and the ACA) must discourage this for financial reasons. You aren't interested in doing right by the people because you are only interested in some of the people. You are just keeping your eyes on the prize (help the old that vote and maybe get more of them to vote Democrat, fuck over the young because the few young that vote, vote Democrat anyway.)

The ACA is all about extorting money from young people to give it to old people. That's it. Its just like medicare and social security, take from the young (and poorer) and give to the old (and richer.) But this private-public-partnership-ponzi scheme (just like every other ponzi scheme) is going to fail because math is working against it, we are having much smaller families, far too small a percentage of our children are born in wedlock and far too many of our children are winding up in prison (not contributing to our economy.) The math only works with more kids and less old, and that is not what we have. And it gets worse day by day.

Social Security got off to a rocky start too. Women and minorities were excluded...and so many job classes were exempted that nearly half of the working population got not benefits. COLAs weren't even introduced until the 1950s.

Compared to all that...a few internet glitches are just a ripple.

LA Times.....

Thousands of Californians are discovering what Obamacare will cost them — and many don't like what they see.

These middle-class consumers are staring at hefty increases on their insurance bills as the overhaul remakes the healthcare market. Their rates are rising in large part to help offset the higher costs of covering sicker, poorer people who have been shut out of the system for years.

Although recent criticism of the healthcare law has focused on website glitches and early enrollment snags, experts say sharp price increases for individual policies have the greatest potential to erode public support for President Obama's signature legislation.

But younger people (the few that are left) still fucking hate it tick. They hate it because they are smart enough to do the math and understand that they aren't getting any. They are not going to get theirs because they aren't going to have enough kids.

SS is only popular among the people who are currently getting checks. They should raise the age of eligibility to 75 where it belongs but if the Democrats suggested that, all people (aged 55 to 65) would instantly vote Republican line because then they wouldn't get theirs. Can't have that because elections and political jobs are more important than math and reality.

Game. Greed.

Well. There's another way to look at it: ACA is here to stay, bugs and all. May as well get used to it.

Or to borrow a phrase from one of conservatives' brightest lights: "if it's inevitable, just relax and enjoy it."

There is nothing to enjoy. So I will never relax. Thank you for giving up trying to convince people who know the reality of what the ACA is. The math is very easy to see as are your infernal motives.

How many kids do you have? How many of your own children and grandchildren are you happily stealing from to pass this ponzi-scheme entitlement? I resent people like you because you are stealing from my children. You (and people like you who believe in this crap) are hurting my kids, sir. You think I'm ever going to get used to that?

Fuck you tick.
