Hedge, in the aftermath of the game last night, I started an email conversation with my buddy Dean about our time down there 10 years ago. In particular, he was reminiscing about his antics at the party (or whatever that was) you brought him to before I got into town. My only regret from that trip is missing that.

Yep, at Dirty Red's place. That was fun. What was not so fun was us blowing that game last night. It wasn't as rocking as the one you came to, mainly b/c it wasn't Halloween (it's fall break right now, actually, but the student section was packed) and IIRC Miami was ranked either 3 or 5, but it was pretty boisterous, esp. by Kenan standards. Fedora needs to be shot. 3rd and less than one at midfield with 4 minutes to go and we get called for a delay of game penalty? We were moving the ball well, a first down there was almost a gimme and I think that would've iced the game. Again, this is totally on Fedora and his micro-managing, gimmicky ass. After that penalty, the crowd turned hostile. One of the guys I was with was as angry as I can remember seeing him. I felt bad for the kids, they did enough to win and then to have the coach fuck up like that just sucks for them. But it was a good game overall...

That 2004 team was really good so that win was impressive. This team is not so good especially without Johnson and a full retard Morris. They will get murdered by FSU in a couple weeks.

Not good by historical Miami standards, perhaps (but still undoubtedly a top 15-20 team), but it would've been a huge win for us. That looked like a different team last night from the one I saw a few weeks ago against ECU. Even spotting ya'll a blocked field goal returned for a TD (perhaps AA can give us the stats on that one), we still should've won. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. That's Carolina football in a nutshell...

Fedora may be a great OC, but he is pure shit as a game management coach. The constant substitution issues, the stupid penalties and horrible clock management have to be rectified immediately.

FYI, the state of Southern Miss football right now gives me pause for concern when it comes to his talent evaluation skills. Southern Miss hasn't won a game since 2011...

I got sick and tired of watching the qb, on every play, have to pull up and look over at the sideline to see Fedora swinging his fucking arms and walking out onto the field to call/change the play. And to make it worse, it was some "Zero Dark Thursday" bullshit that he had made up as a theme for the evening and many of the fans (and all the students) were dressed in black, and he's dancing and popping around on the field dressed in all white like some fucking brother Gibb...
