Since DSL soooo dislikes dumb people and their uninformed comments, I wonder if he would comment on Kathleen Sebelius, one of the smarter folks in this admin, and her talking points.

"Economists, not anecdotal folks, but economists, say there is absolutely no evidence that part-time work is going up. In fact, it’s going down,” she said.

New Wall Street Journal poll shows significantly more Americans blame the GOP for the govt shutdown than Obama, 53% to 31%.

24% have a favorable opinion of the GOP. 21% have a favorable opinion of the Tea Party.

Another bad indicator for the GOP is that Americans prefer, 47% to 39%, that Congress be controlled by Democrats. That margin has grown since the shutdown began. Obamacare has also increased in populairty since the shutdown began.

Obam's personal approval rating is at 47%, up two points since Sept. Congressional Republicans, again, are at 24%

Obama's approval rating 51% in latest Rasmussen poll, the most accurate of them all! Highest it's been since May

If the "debt ceiling" is such a bad thing, why even have one?

Fortunately for Republicans, the midterms are not for 13 months. This poll I suspect will have little impact on the election next year unless the House re-injures themselves at this time next year

They shouldn't. Debt of the U.S. should be paid. Change future budgets.

Saw a poll the other day that 53% of population doesn't like the ACA. But in those numbers, 37% thought it too liberal, 16% thought it didn't go far enough

Article overstates things but the shutdown clearly has not worked to the Republicans' advantage as the tea party, Ted Cruz, and the other right-wing psychos assured us all that it would

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/won ... r-the-gop/

Thursday's Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll hit the Republican Party like a bomb.

It found, as Gallup had, the Republican Party (and, separately, the Tea Party) at "all-time lows in the history of the poll." It found Republicans taking more blame for the shutdown than they had in 1995. It found more Americans believing the shutdown is a serious problem than in 1995.

Even worse for the GOP is what the pollsters called "the Boomerang Effect": Both President Obama and Obamacare are more popular than they were a month ago. Obamacare in particular gained seven points. (More poll highlights here, full results here.)

It's hard to overstate the magnitude of the GOP's strategic failure here: Obamacare's launch has been awful. More than a week after the federal insurance marketplaces opened, most people can't purchase insurance on the first try. But Republicans have chosen such a wildly unpopular strategy to oppose it that they've helped both Obamacare and its author in the polls.

If it's so disastrous to GOP then would you two care to make a wager who has control over the House after 2014 election?

Won't take the bet for the reasons Owl already said. There's also no telling what may happen between now and 2014. But the R's have clearly lost the PR war here. Which is what moderate Republicans warned about but were cussed out and ignored by you tea party folks.

FACT: This shutdown is less popular than the one in 1995.

FACT: The public blames the Republicans far, far more than Obama or the Dems for causing the shutdown.

FACT: Since the shutdown began, Obamacare has actually GAINED in popularity, in spite of a shitty launch

FACT: Congressional Republicans have now sank to their lowest approval ratings since the AP and the WSJ began keeping track

Well, I guess it is not politically disastrous then.
