I'm a scotch drinker.

if we're going to lament the high cost of going to Bama games, the neutral site games are not the issue. Tickets to the GaDome this year had a similar face price to all other tickets. So, if your friends at Scout-Bama can't afford it, doubtful they could afford it in Tuscaloosa, either.

Season ticket prices are high. I have to make a $5000 "donation" to get the honor of purchasing my tix. Yeah, I have good seats, and there are less costly packages, but it's still very expensive.

If it's still September, then DSL must still be railing about a team 'not leaving its state/region'.

A nationally-respected sportswriter has picked up my cause. Concludes that Pete Carroll had big balls. Nick Saban, not so much.

You failed to take into account that Ole Miss was going to give Bama fits.

DSL,

You can admire the genitalia of ex-USC coaches to your heart's content. I will not harass you. I've always supported rights and equal treatment for people of your ilk.

I hope we reschedule MSU... UA kicked their ass after the '10 season when we were much better than the record indicated and State had their best team since Saban was THEIR head coach.

I'm not sure about anOSU.... Saban puts Oscar in the hospital again and he'd be accused of attempted murder. Fuck that.

I still want DSL's opinion on the best team tOSUc has scheduled in the last 4 seasons. Was it the Mighty Knights of Central Florida?

Also, was 2008 really the last year that they scheduled a BCS conference team that ended the year with 10 or more wins?

Ironic hilarity alert: no one alive railed more about Urban's lack of balls at Florida than DSL.

Anyway, someone help DSL carry more stones into his pretty glass house.

AA, this isn't about Ohio State. Don't change the subject. The topic is why Alabama is so much more pussified in its scheduling than fellow SEC members LSU and Georgia. Even Florida at least plays FSU on the road. Explain to your fellow SEC fans why Bama doesn't feel the need to ever play road OOC games.

So, Central Florida is the toughest? And how many years since you've scheduled a non-con opponent that ended up with 10 wins?

I'm glad you enjoy the days of wine and lobster in the Luxury suites at the Atlanta Dome, AA. The good folks of Alabama and the Tuscaloosa Chamber of Commerce don't.

Two true OOC road games (one of them Duke) in 10 years. Alabama football.

Neutral site victories over a 7-6 Clemson team and an 8-5 Michigan team. Playing in NFL stadiums is what college football is all about. Alabama football

I, for one, applaud Nick Saban's bravery. Lesser coaches demand the coward's refuge of playing their tough non-con in the friendly confines of their home field every other year. Not Nick Saban! He eschews such comforts, advantages, and pleasantries in favor of a neutral site venue - where a team's true measure is on display, not some uneven officiating and a partisan crowd to wrench a win from a better team as some scoundrels are wont. He also manages to recruit some at these faraway lands.

God bless Coach Saban the Brave!
