Saban is in his 7th season. If he leaves, I'll wish him well and give him than thanks for all he's done.

I don't claim to be able to read Saban's mind, but in the end I think he stays. He's got it all right where he is: success, recognition, plenty of money, worshiped by half the state... Maybe he's the kind that gets bored with prolonged success and likes the challenge of a fixer-upper program. But I doubt it. Plus, he's no spring chicken.

I see him at Bama until he gets like Bobby Bowden or Joe Paterno, and is easily distracted by shiny objects.

I can see him leaving if he wins another. There's really nothing left to do at Bammer. We all know he's got the ego to take on the Texas job as a challenge. Plus, UT can offer him $10 mil a year and still clear a profit of 50 mil. If he can move on to Texas & bring them to where Bammer is today he WILL be considered the best college football coach of all time.

He's already easily in the top 5, maybe top 3. If he stays at Bama and they continue to dominate like they have so far under his watch, he'll be considered the greatest ever. Plus, it's not like going to Texas and creating a champion is anything that would be considered ridiculously difficult for Saban. I mean, it's Texas. Now then, if he were to go to some ACC school or somewhere like Tennessee and create a champion, that would be a different story...

Texas last won when? 05? Lost in 09. Since then, 5-7, 8-5, 9-4. Think they are happy down there?

Alabama hadn't exactly been setting the world on fire when Saban got there, either. It's about resources, historical football culture in general and fan and admin support for the football program. Texas has all that, just like Bama. The right coach can turn around a relative short down period when you've got all that in place. That said, I don't see why he would leave Bama. There's no advantage that Texas has that he hasn't already got at Bama. Personally I'd probably rather live in Austin than Tuscaloosa (not that there's anything wrong with Tuscaloosa), but I doubt Saban gives a shit about stuff like that...

Chatter down this way is that Texas might come after their former 'head coach in waiting' who isn't hated in Hogtown, but he hasn't drawn the SOS or Meyer kind of devotion from the fan base either. If UF loses to LSU, Caro, Uga and FSU to make a 7-5 season, and Texas offers Texas-sized money I could see him jumping.

If he has that kind of season, Texas may not want him.

It's one thing to lose a bunch of games to teams you should beat, but If all 4 of those teams end up having Top 10 seasons and UF plays each of them pretty well but lost to each by less than a touchdown, that isn't something to hang Muschamp for.

Or if they lose all of them by 21 but two of the TD's in each game are by special teams, then it won't count against him...

Any idiot that bets Alabama when we are favored by 39.5 deserves to lose the money. Just mail it to me instead.

This isn't last year's Bama team, that's for sure.

Through three games, our opponents have more total offense AND fewer penalty yards than we do. We are 89th in the nation in 3rd down conversions.

Crazy enough, we are 16-point favs against Ole Miss. If I still had a bookie, I would lay major cash on that game.

Ole Miss will find a way to Freeze it up and lose.

I think we'll win. 31-28 or something close.
