Re: Baseball
Yep. My bad.
If the season ended today (as I said) the Braves & Dodgers have the #1-2 seeds. The winner of the division via the tie breaker gets 2 days off but the loser gets to host the other wild card (Cincy) that next night. Right?

Re: Baseball
Yes, the first wild card seed would be at a disadvantage even though they would have home field advantage because of the poorer pitching match up.

"Winner of Cards vs Pirates would then host Reds in Wild Card game on Tuesday, October 1."
There are no winners when the Cards and Pirates play...

Re: Baseball
Season series: Reds vs Pirates
Pirates lead 7-6
Reds 4-3 at GABP, 2-4 at PNC
Runs: Reds 46 Pirates 45
5 one runs games
22 hit batters
Kent Tekulve just said that if the Reds hit McCutchen, the Pirates should take out Votto, Bruce and Phillips in the ensuing brawl.
Grow the fuck up you blind idiot

Re: Baseball
If the Astros were a scripted TV show, they might have been cancelled this season.
On Saturday Sept. 14, with a loss against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the Astros set an all-time low for viewership in the Houston area with an average of 915 households.
Just to put that into comparison, according to the Nielsen ratings posted by The Houston Chronicle, the WNBA game on NBA-TV between the Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx drew an average of about 1,500 households in the Houston area.
Last season, the Astros had a game in which they averaged 1,100 households. At that time, newspaper said it was the lowest rating game the team had since the 1980s.
According to FanGraphs, the Astros own 45 percent of Comcast SportsNet Houston, which pays the team $80 million a year to broadcast games.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Re: Baseball
I can't watch them if I wanted to. Ratings would be low anyway but they are setting records for the same reason that Texas home football games are earning 0.0 ratings. Nobody has the channel.
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.
