What I see is a picture of two bagger from the neck up who has to pose in two piece suites to show off an OK body to get anyone to notice here. We all have our opinions I guess...bluetick wrote: ...thinks one of the world's best-looking women is a skank.

Is he a DC?! No. He's just a regular joe taking orders.AlabamAlum wrote:Sunseri is at Florida State now. Seems to be doing okay.
If his tenure at Tenn is any indication, he should never, ever consider doing anything more than being a position coach.

5-at-10: SEC questions, NFL answers, richest folks and TV's best
Quote from above article:
11) Tennessee (2-1, 0-0)
Was last Saturday's historic beatdown because of Oregon's awesome talent or Tennessee's awesome void of talent at several spots? Yes. Yes it was. Here's hoping that Jason Witten sees Dallas receivers coach Derek Dooley in the hall of the Cowboys training facility and says, "Thanks a lot Derek, you goofball."
Saturday: at Florida, 3:30 (CBS)
Agree or disagree, that's funny stuff either way!!!

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
Well, my respect for the new coaching staff just shot up a notch or two.
There is an article on the UTSports website discussing how the staff has reopened the competition for the starting QB job. The starter for the game this Saturday against FL won't be named until hours before the game.
It shows they have not forgotten about this and are still looking for the right fit for the team. Good.
The bad news is we have no experience at the receiver positions. I wonder if there is a right QB for this team: everyone is starting from scratch.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
why the flipping flip didn't the Butcher have a second team offense ready to run a few plays from a completely new perspective? The wishbone? single wing? just crazy stuff they could run against the two overmatched patsies to start the season. Oregon & Florida would have had to prepare for that. I hate the 20 hour limit on practices.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
I understand what you are saying and that's not a bad point. The problem is practically everyone who has a part of our passing game has no experience. I don't see how you can have multiple plans when you have to spend so much time and energy to figure out the first plan while making the inexperienced personnel execute it properly.
Instead of having a second team offense, I would suggest the better way to handle this idea [using the team we currently have] is to have a backup game plan. If plan A isn't working, then change to plan b when it comes to play calling.
Having said that, it seems to me the coaching staff should respond to the game being played and adjust accordingly. Your post makes me wonder if you have concerns about the coaches ability to adjust. This is a possibility. Then again, with our inexperienced passing game, there are only so many adjustments you can make and expect the changes to be effective or make an immediate impact.

Yea, I wonder about our coaches but it's nothing a capable qb won't fix. We need a qb... and a lb better than AJ Johnson....

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
Disclaimer: I know AJ Johnson and he's been very kind to my children...
What's the issue with Johnson that has you so soured on him? He did a good job last year, no? I know he lead the team in tackles and touchdown runs - probably the only player in the country who can claim that. Is he having trouble adapting to the new scheme?
We have a couple of LBs who were superstars last year under Mike Stoops' scheme (Telvin Smith and Christian Jones) who seem to be struggling to pick up the Bama/Pruitt/Sunsieri scheme.

IMVHO, AJ is the most uninstinctive (sp?) player I've ever seen. He never guesses right and gets fooled all the time.

I haven't paid enough attention to AJ closely enough to form any sort of an opinion about him. I'll have to pay more attention this Saturday.
